Seals Take on Pro Development Team Lightning Strike at Kezar

October 18, 2008
UPDATE NOTICE!
Due to the current state of the economy, this match is being postponed until March 7th, 2009.
---------------------------------
Over the course of the SF Seals existence it is quite likely we have had more players move into the MLS and professional soccer leagues around the world than any other USL/PDL Team in history.  This past year, Carlos Diaz has gone to Ferencvarosi TC in the Hungarian second division.  Two of our players have received interest this year from MLS, and may go in the next draft.  Last year Chris Rodd went to Bryne Fotballklubb, a second division team in Norway.  The list of names is quite long, and includes such names as Troy Dyak, Marques White, CJ Brown, Alberto Cruz, David Kramer, and Joe Enochs.

Lightning Strike FC is a PRO Development team that has lost only one match in its history, and that was to the Professional 2007 National Champion Seattle Sounders.  There were 6 goals in that thrilling match showcasing both teams scoring power in front of 700,000+ TV viewers.

Lightning Strike FC originated from the Hispanic All-Stars who played in the Comcast Cup Championship match.  The players were made up from the top 5 Hispanic Leagues in the Pacific Northwest.  "LIGHTNING STRIKE FC" has taken the best from the Hispanic All-Stars and moved them up into the next level of play incorporating new talented players from various nationalities.

The Lightning Strike Soccer franchise focuses on recruiting, training and exposing talented players that are international, national and local.  The club in turn provides a centralized forum for talented players and PRO franchises to meet.  This forum is valuable to professional teams that are international, or reside in the MLS and USL-1.

Lighting Strike FC will have 3 MLS Franchise teams surrounding their region with in 200 miles; Seattle Sounders FC in 2009, Portland and Vancouver in 2011.

“The Market Demands Non-Traditional “Rocky” Style Sporting Events”, and this is what Lightning Strike FC delivers" states the Lightning Strike Marketing Representative Lowell Sandovall.

The Seals have much the same focus as the Lightning Strike as our mission is to provide players with the opportunity to play at the highest level capable.  We are looking for a great match event.

The match will be played at Kezar Stadium on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
