Seals Complete Tough SoCal trip with a tie in 'The OC'

July 1, 2006
The San Francisco Seals completed their three game Southern California road trip with a 1-1 tie versus the Orange County Blue Star.  The Seals were able to pick up two points on the trip with a pair of hard fought draws.

The road trip began last weekend with the Seals tying the L.A. Storm 2-2 behind goals from Richard Halvorsen and John Carson.  The following night the San Fernando Valley Quakes salvaged a split in the season series with the Seals by virtue of their 2-1 victory; the Seals goal was put home by Carlos Diaz, his fifth score of the season.  The young Seals star registered a point in all three games on the road trip.

The Seals return home on Sunday July 9th with a crucial rematch against the Blue Star as both teams are in the thick of the playoff race.  Kickoff time is scheduled for 4:00 pm at Negoesco Stadium.
