Seals Play Orange County Blue Stars

July 8, 2006
Sunday, July 9th at 4:00pm, the San Francisco Seals will face the Orange County Blue Star at Negoesco stadium.

Three games remain in the season and the Seals are still in third place just one point behind the second place San Fernando Valley Quakes.  The Seals are positioned well to finish the season in a respectable position and even make the playoffs. "This is a tough division with parity across the board with the exception of one team who hasn't won a game.  We need to win our remaining games and our opponents around the division need to neutralize one another, as has been the case up to now." noted head coach & GM Tom Simpson.

The Blue Star tied the Seals in their last meeting in Orange County in a 1-1 game where the Blue Star took the early lead on a Sal Zizzo goal.  The Seals came back to tie the game, but could not put it away.

Orange County has gone 1-1-1 in their last three games, and will come into Negoesco Stadium after having a Saturday night game against the Cal Gold in Modesto (July 8th at 8:00pm).
