Mission Statement

It is the mission of the South Jackson Eagles Organization to provide a positive, encouraging, and fun introduction to youth football for all of our players and their interactions. Our goal is to develop well rounded youth who not only learn the fundamentals of football, but also the importance of character, discipline, and education. We recognize the important role that structured athletics can play in a child’s life.

 Our objective is to provide this valuable opportunity to service the youth in South Jackson and all other of our respective communities, while functioning under the philosophy that eagles soar to success as defined in our motto, by obedience to our parents at home, obedience to ours teachers at school, and obedience to our coaches on the field.

Reiterating the team goals, our goals are to provide a supportive environment for the young men to grow strong character through healthy competition and to develop their individual and team skills in football with a strong focus on the basics of blocking and tackling principles. We want them to contribute to and value the strength of their team. We know that strong, positive, social groups are an important source of moral strength for our future men of tomorrow. This philosophy is behind what motivated me to begin the team back in 2010 and what is the motivational force for me founding the JFL league which actually is our league of play.
My relationship with parents over the years has been very, very good and I appreciate your help in reinforcing the lessons above through positive language and good sportsmanship. I strongly encourage you to continue be active with your child/children in between seasons as well, and once again thanks for allowing us this great opportunity to coach your child. See you on the field for this flying high 2023 season!!!!
