The Cecil Fielder World Series took place in Yuma, Az. This tournament began on Dec 17 and finalized on Dec 21. The So Cal Rangers played a total of seven games and played against tough organized teams from across the nation and from neighboring countries.
This tournament started out with a total of twenty four teams and the So Cal Rangers qualified for the playoffs.
- In the first round of playoffs, the So Cal Rangers played against Tijuana, Mexico who was seeded #1. The Rangers took the win with a score of 2-0
- In the second round of playoffs the So Cal Rangers lost 7-3.
It was tough creating a full team at the last minute but in the end this group was able to play and communicate with each other as if they had played with each other for several seasons. This group played as a team, with heart, and dedication. I am very proud of what these players were able to accomplish within the four days of playing the game.
