ROBYN ALVARA

1ST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN
Robyn Alvara is a former Krush Gold Player and Central HS Grizzly. She was a member of the Arizona Western College Matadors this past season as a sophomore. She led the team in Home runs with 22 and RBIs with 78. She hit 12 doubles and had a batting average of .368 with an on base percentage of .436. Her slugging percentage resulted in a .772% which shows her power. Her defensive skills at 1B resulted in a season average of .983 with 344 Put outs.
Her team won their regular season Championship in the ACCAC resulting in a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Western Region Championship. This led them to a #1 seed in the NJCAA Division 1 Championship. However they fell in their third game.
Because of her accomplishments this year she was awarded a NJCAA 1st Team All-American which is awarded to the best junior college players in the United States. Robyn was joined by her teammate Samantha Mendoza also a former Krush Gold player and former Washington Union HS standout. We congratulate both of them for a great season.
