Look no further than here for equipment advise for your daughter this season.

First, the PAL Softball program requires that all girls have a mitt and a facemask.

• Mitts - depending on the division your daughter is in, the size ball used will determine the minimum size glove she should use. Your daughter's glove should be at least 1/2 inch larger in size than the ball. So for example:
• 8u - 11" ball, use an 11.5" or higher size glove
• 10u - 11" ball, use a 11.5" or higher size glove
• 12u/14u - 12" ball, use a 12.5" or higher size glove
• Face Mask - program rules require that the pitcher, first baseman, and third baseman positions must wear a face make. This rule is in place for the safety of our players. If your daughter would like to play one of those positions, she must have a face mask. Each coach should have an extra mask in their equipment bag just in case.

We recommend that your daughter wears softball cleats. Cleats will help her have better traction running in the dirt and grass of a softball field.

Also, the program provides batting helmets and bats. However, if you prefer for your daughter to have her own helmet and bat, we strongly recommend that those items are clearly labeled with your child's name.
