Eaton High School Baseball Booster Club

Subject: Booster Club Meeting with Parents, Coach Fathree and Joel Johnson

Location: Eaton High School Student Union

  1. Coach Fatheree called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm

  2. Introduced NISD Athletic Director Joel Johnson to parents.  

  3. Joel Johnson spoke.

  4. General Business was discussed.

  1. Booster Club Membership- Need 100% participation in booster club. If you are not a member you will not get emails.  FB and Twitter will not have all of the information.

  2. NISD Athletic Trainers are available for all students.  Students should utilize the trainers first anytime an injury occurs.  

  3. The district offers accidental insurance for purchase.

  4. Volunteer Registration- NISD Website, Click Volunteer Background check and fill out form.  Every parent needs to fill this out.

  5. Joel’s expectations for players are: Show up, work hard, Be coachable/good attitude and communicate.

  6. 2018 State Championship Monument.  Cost around $8000.00. Booster Club has to pay for the monument so we need donations.  Donate $750.00 or more to have your name/company engraved on the back of the sign.

  1. Carrie Casserilla - Booster President spoke at 7:00pm.

  1. Encouraged parents to sign up for the Booster Club again

  2. Spirit Wear Shop will close 2/6/2019

  3. Need to push outfield sign sales.  This is a huge profit for the booster.

  4. Concession help!  

  1. Coach Fatheree spoke at 7:10 pm.

  2. General Business was discussed:

  1. Coach introduced the Coaching Staff.

  2. Expectations of players:  Behavior & Work ethic– Cursing and bad behavior will not be tolerated and will get you suspended from the team.  Coach Fatheree expects players to have a good work ethic and push each other to get better. Trustworthiness, communication, passing grades, be supportive of the baseball program and take it seriously.  Do not speak out of emotion, heckle the umpires or talk to coach directly after a game. If upset about something in the program, please follow the chain of command.

  3. JV White will practice every day from 4:30 pm - 6 pm, JV Navy and Varsity will practice every day from 3:30 pm - 5:15 pm
