Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity Falls to Centennial After Seventh Inning Score

Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Centennial pulled away late in an 8-6 victory on Friday. The game was tied at six with Centennial batting in the top of the seventh when a sacrifice bunt by #3 scored one run for Centennial.

Despite the loss, Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Centennial had 13 hits on the way to victory.

Centennial opened up scoring in the first inning. Centennial scored one run when #6 tripled.

In the top of the fifth inning, Centennial tied things up at six. #1 drove in two when she singled.

Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity put up three runs in the fourth inning. Sierra Nixon had an RBI double in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Centennial scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Centennial came thanks to a single by #1 and a double by #3.

#3 earned the win for Centennial. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out four.

Priscilla Worthington took the loss for Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity. She surrendered two runs on five hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Haven Grider started the game for Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity racked up nine hits on the day. Grider, Adrianna Nash, and Mia Gutierrez each racked up multiple hits for Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity. Gutierrez, Nash, and Grider each collected two hits to lead Lewisville Fighting Farmers Varsity.

 

Centennial scattered 13 hits in the game. #1, #13, #17, and #5 all managed multiple hits for Centennial. #11 led Centennial with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with four stolen bases.
