HYB 9U-14U Tournament Addendum
Effective Date:  March 15 2015

On Site Tournament Directors: Jennifer Phillips & Terry Scherer

Entry Fee:  $315 plus $100 gate fee
  Checks are to be made payable to Haltom Youth Baseball.
  Any return checks will incur a $25 return check fee.

Rain out Policy:  If no games we able to be played full refund.
         If one game is played 50% will be refunded
         If pool play is complete no refund will be given

Tournament Director will make the decision on delays or cancellations.  If game is called with half game completed game will be considered finished and score recorded.

No Protest will be allowed.  Tournament Directors decision is final.

Check-In:   Check-in will be done at the concession stand.
  Items Required:      Copy of Signed Roster for Director to keep
     Show copy of Insurance Certificate

Seeding:  Seeding will be based on Pool Play win/loss record
  If a tie occurs the following procedure will be used:
1. Runs Allowed.  Whoever allows least will be higher seed.
2. Runs Scored.  Whoever scores most will be higher seed.
3. Head to Head Results
4. Coin Flip.

Tournament Format:  3 Game Guarantee.   2 pool play into single elimination bracket

Game Time Limit: 
Pool play games: 6 innings or 75 minutes
Bracket Play 6 innings or 90 minutes
Championship game will be 7 innings or 90 Minutes

Team Forfeit:   If team is not present with a legal lineup at game time 10 minutes will be placed on the game clock and time started.  If team does not have a legal lineup at the end of the 10 minutes it will be scored as a forfeit and will be recorded as 0-7 score.
Game Balls:  Each team must provide 2 game balls at the coach’s meeting at home plate before each game.

Home or Visitors:   During Pool Play - home will be decided by coin flip.
   During Bracket play - home team will be the higher seed.

Lineup:  Batting will be round robin will be permitted.  No restrictions on defensive subs.  Courtesy runner allowed for pitcher and catcher.  Sub runner must be last out.   If no out has been made in the inning last out from previous inning must be used.  If 1st inning of play Courtesy Runner must be last player in batting lineup on presented roster.

Scorekeepers: Home team is responsible for official book.
   Visitors will provide someone to run scoreboard.

Run Rule:  Run rule will be the following:
  15 after 3
  10 after 4
  8 after 5

Pitching Rules: 
  10U-12U:  9 outs to pitch next day
    18 outs 1 day maximum
    24 outs tournament maximum
  
  14U:  9 outs to pitch next day
    21 outs 1 day maximum
    24 outs tournament maximum

Scorecards:  Umpires will present scorecards to coaches for signature immediately following the game. Coaches are responsible for the ENTIRE content of the card. When you sign a card you are certifying that ALL information is correct. Please take a moment and review for accuracy before signing. If there is a disagreement regarding the contents of the card then the head coach and scorekeeper from both teams should immediately consult with the tournament director to resolve the discrepancy.
Bat Rules:  Bats must be either USSSA approved.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

Sportsmanship and Ejections:  All players coaches managers sponsors and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times.  Any player coach manager sponsor or spectator whose conduct is unbecoming or abusive shall at a minimum be reprimanded with a warning. If warranted the offending party shall be ejected from the game at the discretion of the Umpires and / or the Tournament Director.  Any player coach manager sponsor or spectator leaving their position or base in the field on the bench in the dugout area or grandstands to participate in a fight brawl or altercation shall be immediately ejected from the game and may be banned from future tournaments.  Any coach manager sponsor or spectator ejected from a game shall immediately remove himself from the vicinity of the playing field and / or grandstands for the remainder of the game. Additional penalties may be assessed at the discretion of the Tournament Director.  Any player ejected from a game shall either immediately remove himself from the vicinity of the playing field for the remainder of the game or be confined to the dugout area for the remainder of the game at the discretion of the Tournament Director.  All persons ejected may be asked to leave the park at the discretion of the Tournament Director. Abusive language or cursing shall not be tolerated under any circumstances and shall result in an automatic ejection.  Throwing of equipment in an aggressive manner shall result in an automatic ejection.  If necessary a team may be forced to forfeit a game and / or be removed from the tournament.  As these rules indicate the matter of disorderly conduct shall be taken seriously. Because of this please remind all players coaches managers sponsors and spectators to be extra aware of good sportsmanship. 
Penalties for illegal players and equipment:  The Tournament Director reserves the right to access the penalty based upon the severity of the offense.  The offense must be brought to the attention of the Tournament Director immediately.  Minimum penalty could be but not limited to coach and / or player ejection for the rest of the game and / or a 1 game suspension.  Maximum penalty could be as severe as a 2 game suspension and / or for the remainder of the tournament.  Anyone who receives the Maximum penalty is subject to being banned from future tournaments.

Tournament Directors decision is final.
