MARIO'S PIZZA get on top of MAS DEMO early but can't hang on in 4-2 loss

MARIO'S PIZZA jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to MAS DEMO on Thursday.A steal of home by Giulio Petrocelli gave MAS DEMO the lead in the fifth inning.Shane Flannery put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for MAS DEMO. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning. Maxwell Kirk shut down MARIO'S PIZZA while he was on the bump. Maxwell held MARIO'S PIZZA hitless over 4 2/3 innings, allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out 12. Despite the loss, MARIO'S PIZZA's Malcum Kron dominated MAS DEMO's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out nine. Patrick Groo was charged with the loss. He lasted just one inning, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.The top of the second saw MARIO'S PIZZA take an early lead, 1-0. The MARIO'S PIZZA attack began with a single from Jacob Guglberger. A stolen base then moved Jacob from first to second. Jacob then stole home. MAS DEMO didn't relinquish the lead after scoring four runs in the fifth inning when it scored on An RBI double by Shane and an error.

FIORE jumps on PICCOLO'S early and coasts to 17-1 win

FIORE jumped out to an early lead on PICCOLO'S and captured a 17-1 victory on Friday at HOBOKEN.

With eight runs in the first three innings, FIORE left no doubt about the eventual outcome. A walk by Joseph Fiore, a walk by Javier Figueroa, and a bases loaded walk in the first inning supplied the early offense for FIORE. Joseph reached base four times in the game for FIORE. He scored two runs and had one RBI. PICCOLO'S couldn't get anything going so long as Raymond Fiore was on the hill. Raymond held PICCOLO'S hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five. FIORE easily handled PICCOLO'S pitching as six hitters combined for five hits, seven RBIs and 12 runs scored. Paul Lisa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked nine and struck out two. FIORE added five more runs in the top of the third. A scored Joseph and Javier to get FIORE on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Raymond's single, bringing home Lawrence Katz.

Jonathan Salinas hits and pitches RUSSO'S to 3-2 victory

RUSSO'S beat YOUNG DEMS 3-2 Monday behind both the bat and the arm of Jonathan Salinas.

Jonathan did his best to jumpstart the offense for RUSSO'S, reaching base four times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the seventh inning. YOUNG DEMS couldn't get anything going as long as Jonathan was pitching. YOUNG DEMS managed just one hit off of S, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 3 1/3 innings of work. YOUNG DEMS had the lead early, but couldn't hold off RUSSO'S. YOUNG DEMS was ahead until the seventh inning, but RUSSO'S would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Jonathan. Despite the loss, YOUNG DEMS' Tomas Garen dominated RUSSO'S' batters, giving up one run and striking out 10. Mark Boyd was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

RUSSO'S jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

 

APRIL 12

MARIO'S PIZZA defeats POLICE DEPT 12-7

Tuesday was a rough outing for Jacob Guglberger, but MARIO'S PIZZA still managed to pull out a 12-7 victory over POLICE DEPT in six innings at HOBOKEN. Jacob allowed six in two, but the bullpen gave up one run and the offense banged out 10 to pick up the slack and secure the win for MARIO'S PIZZA. MARIO'S PIZZA got its bats going early, scoring eight runs in the first inning to pull ahead of POLICE DEPT. MARIO'S PIZZA scored in the first on An RBI single by Eli Blumenfeld, a two-run double by Jacob, a fielder's choice, a hit by pitch, a walk by Malcum Kron, and an RBI single by Eli. Frank Digiacomo got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

 

 

POLICE DEPT's lineup had no answer for Malcum. Malcum held POLICE DEPT hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.  Jacob Schnabel ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in zero innings, walked two and struck out none. In the top of the first, POLICE DEPT grabbed the early lead, 1-0.

MARIO'S PIZZA tacked on another three runs in the second. The inning looked promising, as Frank singled, plating Vincenzo Torre to kick things off. That was followed up by Patrick Groo's single, bringing home Mason Fischer.

After pushing across five runs in the top of the third, POLICE DEPT faced just a 11-6 deficit. An error, a walk by Rocco Riccardi Jr., and a two-run error fueled POLICE DEPT's comeback. Finn Getz to end the POLICE DEPT threat. One run in the top of the fifth helped POLICE DEPT close its deficit to 12-7. A fielder's choice triggered POLICE DEPT's comeback. Finally, Benjamin Hofbauer got Tige Mauseth to strike out to end the threat.

FIORE makes the most of 1 hit in 4-2 victory over ELKS

FIORE and ELKS both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was FIORE that was able to capitalize on them as it pulled out a 4-2 win at HOBOKEN.  ELKS had two hits compared with FIORE's one, but ELKS stranded seven runners on base. Noah Strandberg reached base three times in the game for FIORE. He singled in the third inning. ELKS couldn't get anything going as long as Sammy Cooper was on the bump. Sammy held ELKS hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four. Aiden Ward racked up two RBIs on two hits for ELKS. He singled in the second and third innings.  Hector Vega got the win for FIORE. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out five, walked five and surrendered two hits. Daquan Jones was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed four runs. The bottom of the first saw FIORE take an early lead, 1-0. FIORE didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning when it scored on An RBI single by Noah. One run in the top of the fifth helped ELKS close its deficit to 3-2. A groundout by Aiden gave ELKS life. Finally, Sammy got Hudson Borelli to ground out to end the threat. FIORE survived ELKS' surge and put up one run of its own in the fifth. FIORE scored on An error.

No-hitter leads MAS DEMO past PICCOLO'S 14-0

Thursday was a day Maxwell Kirk will set aside for the scrapbook as Maxwell threw a no-hitter in MAS DEMO's 14-0 victory over PICCOLO'S. No PICCOLO'S batter was able to locate Maxwell's pitches during the game. Maxwell threw a no-hitter, striking out nine batters and walking four while recording his momentous feat. He got Max Hartilius to strike out for the final out of the game. MAS DEMO's bats came to life in the fourth inning. In the inning MAS DEMO scored 13 runs. MAS DEMO scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Maxwell, a two-run error, a steal of home by Giulio Petrocelli, a two-run single by Conner Caloni, a hit by pitch, a walk by Maxwell, a bases loaded walk by Giulio, and a three-run triple by Shane Flannery. Shane racked up three RBIs on one hit for MAS DEMO. Paul Lisa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just three innings, walked eight, struck out six, and allowed four runs.

 

 

Chirichella Boys get on top of Young Dems early but can't hang on in 2-1 loss

 

Chirichella Boys jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to Young Dems on Saturday. Young Dems took the lead in the sixth inning on a walk by Isiah Blanks. Tomas Garen baffled Chirichella Boys, striking out 10 batters. Tomas allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks over 5 1/3 innings. Jason Blanks got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He pitched two-thirds shutout innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits. Chirichella Boys scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Ryan Burke in the first inning. Young Dems tied the game in the fifth on an RBI double by Jason that scored Isiah.

 

Russo’s takes advantage of early error, beats Cassesa’s 7-5

 

Russo’s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 7-5 win over Cassesa’s on Saturday at Hoboken. Russo’s scored in the first on an error, an RBI single by Robert Brockman, and a two-run single by Anthony Fragosa. Russo’s held off Cassesa’s, as Cassesa’s was unable to overcome a seven-run second inning deficit. Cassesa’s scored on a steal of home by Jake Landsbergis in the third inning and a sacrifice fly by Wyatt Flett, a walk by Jake, and a two-run double by Anthony Henriquez in the sixth inning. Still, Cassesa’s couldn't catch Russo’s. Gage Lucken had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and second innings. Matthew Harasack pitched lights out for Russo’s. Cassesa’s managed just one hit off of the Russo’s pitcher. Russo’s piled on three more runs in the bottom of the second. A single by Matthew H ignited the offense, bringing home Joel Lopez.

Noah Strandberg helps FIORE down FIRE DEPT 6-5

FIORE beat FIRE DEPT 6-5 in six innings on Tuesday at HOBOKEN behind Noah Strandberg, who went 2-3. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning. FIRE DEPT was hurt by a number of miscues in the field. FIRE DEPT committed four errors which led to two unearned runs for FIORE. Matthew Potter had a hot bat for FIRE DEPT. Matthew went 2-3 and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning. Raymond Fiore got the win in relief for FIORE. Raymond pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed two runs. Jacob Wright took the loss for FIRE DEPT. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out nine. FIORE jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Owen Martin kicked things off for FIORE with a single. FIRE DEPT tied the game in the fifth on an RBI single by Matthew that scored Andrew Bellissimo. FIORE stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring two runs on An error and an RBI triple by Sammy Cooper.

CASSESA falls 18-1 at the hands of STAN'S

STAN'S beat CASSESA on Tuesday 18-1 at HOBOKEN in five innings. STAN'S scored nine runs in the fourth on STAN'S scored in the fourth on A steal of home by Vincent Chirichella, a steal of home by Daniel Rashkes, a walk by Jack Kelly, a steal of home by Benjamin Rubin, a steal of home by Elijah Gutiezzez, an RBI triple by Joshua Sapira, an RBI single by Daniel, and a two-run double by Jayden Pagan. Benjamin did his best to jumpstart the offense for STAN'S, reaching base three times. He scored three runs and had two RBIs. CASSESA's lineup had no answer for Vincent. CASSESA managed just one hit off of C, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out 10 during his 4 2/3 innings of work. Despite the loss, CASSESA's Anthony Henriquez dominated STAN'S' batters, giving up one run and striking out six. STAN'S easily handled CASSESA pitching as six hitters combined for five hits, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored. Ethan Ortiz couldn't get it done on the mound for CASSESA, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

Early lead gives MAS DEMO victory over ELKS, 18-0

MAS DEMO jumped out to an early lead on ELKS and captured an 18-0 victory on Wednesday at HOBOKEN. The game was decided quickly as MAS DEMO exerted its will early with 18 runs in the first three innings. An RBI single by Giulio Petrocelli, a groundout by Shane Flannery, an error, and a two-run error during the first inning and an RBI single by Kyle Valenzuela and a three-run double by Mike Seaton in the second inning fueled MAS DEMO's offense early. Shane racked up two RBIs on two hits for MAS DEMO. Maxwell Kirk had an impressive outing against ELKS' lineup. ELKS managed just one hit off of K, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work. Daquan Jones was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked two and struck out one.
