Game 28 East Boston Knights @ Savin Hill Hornets

Dorchester, MA- If you start out flat, you will lose the game regardless of opponent. The Hornets plated 4 in the 1st and Eddie Samp goes the distance for his 3rd win of the season. Kenny Luongo also pitched a complete game for the visiting East Boston Knights.

Game 29 East Boston Knights @ Brighton Braves

Looking to get their loss behind them, the Knights head up to Peabody to face the Brighton Braves. The game looked like it wont be played following a drenching thunderstorm that soaked parts of the field. With the field cleared up, it was game time as the Knights jumped to a quick 2-0 lead before the Braves put 3 in the 4th to go ahead. Knights failed to capitalized as Mike Smith former MLB pitcher for the Minnesota Twins and Toronto Blue Jays pitched 4 innings of shutout baseball as the Braves defeated the Knights in the battle of 2 playoff squads right after a field change.

Game 30 McKay Club Beacons @ East Boston Knights

Looking to avoid losing their 3rd straight game, the Knights face the rival Beacons at Eastie Stadium in hopes to clinch a playoff spot in front of a modest crowd. The Knights fans got a good taste of it so far holding a 1-0 lead but its all downhill from there as they were cursed yet again by a bad inning for the 3rd night in a row. McKay plate 3 on you guess it...fielding errors in the 3rd. Knights bats fell silent once again. McKay put up 2 more and the President's team finally get one on the board with a 5-1 lead. But when Beacons pitcher Mylette was pulled after 6 and a third of an inning, the bullpen try to save the game. First reliever walked 4 batters and allowed a run. With the score 5-4 here comes a new pitcher and Knights have a chance with 2 outs with tying run at 3rd and on a wild pitch Paul Fahey and Eric O'Brien combined to tag a runner at HP to end the festivities as the Knights suffered a heartbreaking loss. The Rally Dicks were ineffective tonight as there was stunned silence at EB Stadium

Game 31 East Boston Knights @ South Boston Saints

Sin City, MA- Initially the Knights vs Southie game was to be held at Peabody until a last minute field change led them to a game at Breed Field down Rte.1 in Lynn. Seem to be far for a home game for the boys from Southie but this is a huge game as the winner has chance to hold on in the Yaz division. Steve Hueston gets the start against Dylan Joyce. Hueston pitched 2 innings of shutout baseball before handing the ball to Eaton as he pitched 4 innings of solid ball giving up just 1 run. Knights hold on to a 4-1 lead when Laliberte step in to close the game. It got interesting as they put up 2 and Knights nation nervous once again. But the the bullpen hang on to a 4-3 victory as they hang on dearly at 1st.

Game 32  Somerville Alibrandis @ East Boston Knights

East Boston, MA- It was a playoff type atmosphere as the Somerville Alibrandis face the East Boston Knights. Somerville started veteran Sean Sullivan who the Knights have pounded in the last two starts dating back to the Juan Rosario 2 homer game. While the Knights counter with youngster Vic Mendez who made his Knights debut against the YBL powerhouse. It was a classic pitchers duel as Somerville and Eastie were playing chess all night long. Mendez gave way to another JUCO product Shawn Carlson. He struck out 4 Alibrandis but the Somerville pitchers respond with solid defense and the score remain 1-1. Knights go to the bullpen calling the other youngster NEWMAC and MIT product Max Ockner. But in the 8th Somerville decides to play small ball and they ended the deadlock. Fireballer Tanguy close the deal in the 8th and they won their 30th game of the season while the Knights still find out who they will play in the playoffs.
