“A” and “B” Tournament Rules

All Midgets rules are in effect with the following exceptions and notations:

Each team will provide a new baseball for each game

Umpires will be paid $36 each. Each team will pay an umpire. (Each team may take collection on their side of the field)

Higher seed (1 is highest seed) is the home team for all games until championship game.

 Undefeated team is home team for championship game.

 Coin flip determines home team in “if” game

Pitchers may pitch 7 innings in the tournament (1 pitch = 1 inning)

If a pitcher throws in 2 consecutive games, (NOT DAYS) he must take a game off.

There is no pitch count.

Each team must report their pitching and score to the field director immediately after each game. If no field director is immediately available, you may text information to 717-673-8599. Whatever method you choose, it must be completed immediately following your game.

There is a 10-run rule after 4 innings.

There are no protests. Disputes will be decided at the field by the field director.

There is no pre-game infield/outfield or batting practice on any field during the tournament. In the first round, teams that are hosting games at home may use a “back field” on their site. Or, they may use the actual game field until 4:35pm, at which time the infield must be vacated, if a second or “back field” is not available. The only pre-game use of the field is throwing to warm up in the outfield grass…no fly balls, no ground balls, only warm up throws. If you bring a “soft toss” net, you must use an area off the field of play and at the discretion of the site coordinator. If host site has a batting cage, higher seed may use it from 4:55 to 5:15 and lower seed will use it from 5:15 to 5:35. Any abuse of this will result in suspension of privilege by guilty party for remainder of tournament.
