GAME 6-PHU AT EAST LAKE

March 3, 2017
The Palm Harbor Hurricanes traveled to cross town rival East Lake and lost in a pitchers duel 1-0 on Friday night.

Palm Harbor University Hurricanes Varsity watched the game slip away early as East Lake took the lead on an error in the first inning and couldn't recover in a 1-0 loss.

The pitching was strong on both sides. PHU sophomore Hunter Mink got the start and was dialed in from the start fanning 11 Eagles in five innings of work allowing only one hit. Senior Carter Wilson came in relief allowing no hits, no walks and two strikeouts.

Offensively, PHU was limited to just two hits; one by senior Nick Bell and another by sophomore Tanner Mink - who also collected two base on balls. Senior Joe Mattei also walked twice in the contest.

Palm Harbor next game is Tues, March 7th at home with first pitch slated for 4:00 pm.
