Atlantic Coast Youth Athletic Association (ACYAA) and its founding member leagues are happy to answer any questions surrounding its creation as well as membership.  The creation was and is a business decision of the ACYAA and its founding member leagues.  Those business decisions are based on the collective ideals, perspectives and requirements, of the founding member leagues, which include positive aspects of the game, a safe environment and how the Organization as well youth football and cheerleading should be developed for our area youth. 

At no time were the founding member making decisions for the leagues who are still standing members of there existing association. They were faced and forced to adhere to the mumblings of one individual who took personal shots at the new members leagues, placed bounties on league players and putting threats to families and businesses.

Their decision did not come easily, and their focus was not on a single child but thousands of children. They wanted to compete at the same high level of play, and team spirit for all leagues but felt they did not have the support of the whole association. At no point did they want to displace kids.

All the founding members’ statement is clear and our doors are open to every child.
