The Blackhawks picked up where they left off with an aggressive athletic defense and a big play offense to win going away from the Ravens Saturday night in first round action. Back in August the Blackhawks defeated the Ravens 48-7.
Raven quarterback #19 Jaren Jeffcoat (Northfield) connected on a 31 yard touchdown pass to receiver #14 Clayton Torres (Barre) in the second quarter. The extra point was good by #77 Juju Ayida (Plainfield).
A few minutes later after a Blackhawks touchdown the point after attempt was blocked and Raven receiver/defensive end #4 Steve Noyes (Barre) recovered and returned the ball all the way for 2 points.
The Ravens finish their season with a 6-5 record while the Blackhawks (10-1) play the Central Mass Sabercats (9-2) in semi-final action next Sat. Oct. 15th in CT.
The Vermont Ravens would like to extend a huge thank you to all the fans, family and friends that have helped the team grow over the 10 plus years of existence.
