Wickliffe Baseball League Meeting - 3/17/2016

Motion by Levon, seconded by Pugh to approve the minutes of the meeting of 2/18/16. Motion passed.

Officer Reports:

VP – (report read by Pugh) The board needs confirmation from Rich Gamber about his role as Equipment Manager.  If he can’t perform the role, we need his keys back.

Rick needs to be emailed a copy of all the sponsorships that we received this week.

Rick will meet with the girls league in April to confirm and finalize our opening day schedule and logistics.

Treasurer– Novotney announced the income/expense report for February-March  2016, which is attached below. 

1)      Checking account balance - $7,275.83

2)      Savings account balance - $3,105.86

3)      Cooperstown 2017  (11U) - $7,169.70

4)      Other Savings / Clinics - $840.23

5)      Nationals 2016 (14U) - $2,461.98

6)      Ripken 2016 (12U) - $2,019.54

Monies received from registration:

1)      Paypal - $6,103.84

2)      Checks/Cash - $2,615.00

We need to refund $100 for a double registration/payment.  We’ve also received $1,500 in sponsorship money from Wickliffe businesses.

Secretary – Levon reported that we had 115 kids register to play this summer. 

The draft will be Tuesday, March 22^rd.  The Majors and Mitey Mites will be at 6:30.  The Minors will be at 7:30.

Equipment Manager – (Per the VP, report read by Pugh) March 24^th will be a working meeting in the equipment room cleaning and getting equipment bags ready for managers.  Saturday, March 26^th will be equipment pick-up day for all managers.

Uniforms will be ordered after the draft.

Umpire in Chief – No report

Player Development Manager – No report

President –  WRBL approved the rules for this season and they are posted on the Euclid baseball website.

The manager’s schedule day will be Sunday, April 10^th at the Willowick Senior Center.  The Minors and Mitey Mites are at noon, and the Majors and Ponys are at 1:30pm.

The Pony league will start on 5/7, since no teams have any players playing middle school baseball.

Mike handed out keys to Johnson, Pasquino & Shirer.

Old Business

New Business:

1)      Johnson told the board that the last week we have reserved for Earn-It (4/8) will be just for the rec kids, no tournament players.
