Wickliffe Baseball League Meeting - 6/15/2017

Roll Call:

Executive Board – Pugh, Gilman, Novotney, Levon, Krizner, Pasquino, Motta

Trustees – Brandt, Rossman, Shirer

Levon made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of the 5/18 meeting.  Seconded by Rossman.  Motion passed.

Officer Reports:

VP –

·         Gilman notified the board that we will have access to the Senior Center after 1pm on Friday, July 7^th for the tournament.  She is renting a hot dog roller and snow cone machine.  The menu will include hot dogs, pasta, meatball subs, popcorn, nachos & cheese, hot dogs, pop, water, and Gatorades.  It was questioned whether we should do Chik-Fil-A sandwiches on Saturday.  Gilman will check to see how many we ordered last year, and advise the board via group text to see if we want to pursue it.

·         She asked the board for an idea of a family to donate the dunk-the-dolly money too. 

·         She notified the board that she needed more volunteers for concessions.  Minimum age of 15. 

·         Spirit wear will be sold during the tournament as well.

·         Gilman asked the board to meet at the Senior Center on Thursday, July 6^th at 8pm to ensure everything from the tournament was covered.

Treasurer – Novotney announced the income/expense report for May-June, which is stated below. 

1)      Checking account balance - $3,040.93

2)      Savings account balance - $12,557.38

3)      Cooperstown 2017  - $3.392.74

4)      Clinics - $1,302.34

Included in her report were hard copies of the individual transactions from 5/19/17 – 6/14/17. 

Secretary – No report

Equipment Manager – Krizner stated all of balls, trophies, and scorebooks will be ordered for the tournament. Home plate at J2 & C3 will need to be fixed.  Levon stated he would contact Tim Stopp about that.  Krizner mentioned the distance marker on the right field foul pole needs to be fixed as well.  Levon said he would contact the Service Director to get that repaired as well.

Umpire in Chief – No report

Player Development Manager – No report

President – Pugh notified the board that there has been some issues in the Mitey Mite division based on the rule changes that have happened over the past couple of years.  He asked the board to read the rules and provide any suggestions they have to him to take back to the next president’s meeting.

·         Pugh stated that Matt Bogo from Cleveland Bred will have a stand at our tournament to sell t-shirts.
