Changed rules for roster and tryout dates 2021

Very important information

Major changes have been made to SPBA rules for 2021.
These changes will greatly affect your eligibility for teams in the 2022 baseball season. We need you to know so you are not sitting in the bleachers

SPBA designated AAA teams for the 2022 season for each division.

8U- None
9u- None
10u- Windsor Stars

11u – Windsor Stars

12u- Windsor Stars and Riverside Royals

13u- Windsor Stars and Riverside Royals

14u- Windsor Stars and Riverside Royals

15u- Windsor Stars and Riverside Royals

Only the listed above teams are permitted to have tryouts from

September 7th, 2021, until September 17th, 2021

All other teams' tryouts are from

September 20th, 2021, until May 1st, 2022

Tryout needing releases/ Nonresident player

All players can tryout for any SPBA local without a release during the listed dates above. Each team is limited to the number of Import players they can roster for the season.

8U/9U – 0

10u/11u – 2

12u/13u – 2

14u/15u - 3

16u/18u - 5

21u – Unlimited

*For the 2022 season all players listed on a team’s 2021 roster will be legacies onto the team roster if the player remains actively rostered.

Any team roster that is not in compliance with the new SPBA rules will be denied. It is the responsibility of the coaching staff and local association to verify their team complies with all rules before officially offering a position to a player on the team. If knowingly or unknowingly a position is offered to a player which does not comply with SPBA rules, it will be the responsibility of the coach and local association to notify the player and refund all expenses.

SPBA is not responsible for any fee, uniform or equipment purchased that can not be used due to players being offered a position where they are removed due to a local association knowingly or unknowingly not complying with SPBA rules
