Dog bites Coach - please help!
PLEASE HELP
The 21st Ward Junior League is asking for help in identifying two dogs and two young ladies. Information is being sought as to whether these dogs have had their rabies shots.
While preparing John Boyce Field, by himself, for a Senior League game, Jim Lammendola was bitten twice by an unleashed dog on Friday, June 19 around 5:15. Jim alleges owner of the dog refused to accept responsibility or identify herself and left the field. A police report was filed.
Because it is not known if the dogs had their shots, Jim has to undergo a series of expensive anti-rabies shots. Rabies is 100% fatal if untreated.
If you see anyone who fits the following description please contact the, Fifth District or 21St Ward Baseball League at their website www.21stward.com or call 215-487-1559 and leave a message:
1. Two medium/large size dogs; one black/brown; the other white with brown spots
2. A young woman about 18-25; straight red hair who identified herself as ‘“Kelly”
from 4th and Porter” who now lives in Roxborough. Her companion: same age, straight dark hair, tattoo on her thumb/index finger.
3. they were last seen at Roxborough and Houghton Streets.
from the desk of Commissioner John Citrone
Thank you to all of the parents, coaches, players and friends for all of their help in getting the fields ready for play after our recent rain events. The games could not have been played without your dedication and support.
A special thanks to the Coaches, Umpires and Families for their flexibility while making the schedule changes due to the fields condition.
Your commitment to our League is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!!!

The parents or guardians of each child participating in the League's programs are asked to provide 2 hours of time per season in field maintenance and trash pickup to enable us to keep costs low and to maintain our quality facilities that are enjoyed by all.
