OMYA Football ~ Getting Ready!
Afternoon Old Mill Family,
As we gear up for the upcoming season just a few points of note for you all:
1.) OMYA is now on Facebook! If you have not done so already, please join our Open Group. Currently, we have two different OM Groups, one of them sends out notices to you when the page is updated, the other does not; so as we figure out which one works best for our needs, you should join them both.
2.) I will again need a copy of your childs birth certificate to turn into AACO Recreation and Parks, EVEN IF YOU PLAYED WITH US LAST YEAR. I'm sorry in advance for the hassle, trust me, this is no small feat of gathering on our part and as much a pain to us. If at all possible, you can scan and email it to me now, to save the time and hassle once we hit the fields. As we all know, once practices start things are very hectic
so if your able to send it in now, that is easiest.
3.) Also, when you registered your child you should have filled out the AACO Youth Player Contract, if you did not, I need you too. This form has to accompany the Birth Certificate. You can also fill that out and scan/email it to me.
4.) First day of practice will be JULY 20th. You should hear from your childs Head Coach around the first or second week of July. The first day of practice your child should come wearing weather-approperiate clothing, plenty of water, and football cleats.
5.) Lastly, as we did last year, we will again collect used (but in good condition!!) cleats for other players who may be unable to purchase their own. This was a huge success last year and was well received by everyone. So if you still have your son's pair from last year in a closet, bring it with you and we'll pass them along to a child in need.

Our teams for the 2009 season are filling up VERY FAST. We expect very high turn outs for the upcoming season.
Certain teams are expected to be FULL BY THE TIME THE SEASON STARTS. If you have not signed your child up, DO NOT WAIT!
