Meyer & Middleton Park and the property upon which it sits are NOT municipal properties! Most of our neighboring communities have great fields which are owned by their municipalities. Ours are not! We do, however, use the municipal fields located in Crafton Park and Ingram's Foster Park. Also, the Meyer & Middleton property was NOT donated, and therefore, is NOT paid for.

This acreage was purchased in 1997 and developed into the existing ballfield complex during the years of 1998 and 1999. The grand opening and first season occurred in April 2000. As the demand for field time grew and the availability of the proper-sized fields lessened, it became apparent to those past-board-of-directors that something needed to be done! Hence, the development of Meyer & Middleton Park's five-field complex.

The sizable debt which was incurred is NOT paid from your child's registration fees, but rather from the many FUNDRAISERS which C.I.T. holds annually and hopes that you kindly support. Actually, we NEED your support! That is why it is so important for you to help out when asked, whether in the concession stand, selling tickets, working a booth, or whatever is required! Your child's regular season registration fees are merely a portion of the costs incurred with uniforms, umpires, balls, league fees, equipment, and other items which are directly related to your child's regular season of play.

To cover the separate expenses incurred with tournaments, the all-star players' fees are priced separately before the tourney season begins. That fee helps to cover uniforms, entrance fees (which are constantly escalating), balls, etc. Fees are based upon the intention for each team's participation in C.I.T.'s own in-house tournament for that age level, and permits the team to travel to two outside tournaments.

Fall-Ball is also priced separately and economically. The fees collected for this two-month season offset umpire fees, league fees, and game balls.
The fee does not provide uniforms. If you know a company willing to sponsor your child's team, please see a Board Member in the concession stand!

C.I.T. Baseball & Softball Association, Inc., an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, has provided community youth baseball since 1951. The organization started as the C.I.T. Little League, which was at that time associated with The Little League Organization.

C.I.T., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has provided community youth baseball since 1951. The organization started as the C.I.T. Little League, which was associated with The Little League Organization of America. In that first year, there were four Little League teams with 60 players, ages 9 to 10. Most of the operating costs in those days were defrayed by team sponsorships and local business contributions. The organization incorporated in 1966 after its merger with the existing community Pony, Colt and Prep League organization. In 1982, the organization expanded to include a girls’ softball program, and in 1995, it expanded again to provide a Super Tee instructional program for 5 and 6 year olds. C.I.T. strives to provide a positive recreational experience for the youth of all our communities, ages 5 through 18.

Today C.I.T. is funded entirely by contributions, fundraising, advertising, team sponsorships, and the support of it's participating families. The association operates through the volunteer efforts of its Board of Directors, managers, coaches, and general membership. In Spring of 2000, C.I.T. celebrated the Grand Opening of its five-field complex known as Meyer & Middleton Park located in the Chartiers Valley in Crafton Borough. The 20-acre site was purchased in 1997 and improved through the efforts of volunteer laborers and generous donors. The complex is privately owned by the association.

For almost 60 years, C.I.T. has provided the youth from our communities with an exceptional recreation program that builds athletic skills and competitive spirit.
