Dear CEJBO member,
I hope everyone is enjoying the spring time weather. CEJBO hopes that all of our officials are preparing to attend a camp this summer to help you advance your game skills, and help move you to the next level.
HELP CEJBO GROW: During your time off, please help recruit friends, family, co-workers, and maybe, team members, to join CEJBO and become a basketball Official.
This letter is to provide you information on the 2024 - 2025 dues.
NJSIAA Dues;
Active Members fee is: $65 That includes your $10 background fee.
In-Active Members fee is: $20
NJSIAA.ORG. Sign in… Click on the Officials Tab on top. Then click on the Register for 2024-2025 on left side of the screen. Fill out the information and make sure you put in Central East as your chapter.
Dues to the state are due by August 15, 2024. If dues are not paid by August 15th, you will not receive any material from the start that would include not receiving your rule book.

CEJBO Dues:
During Covid, CEJBO was able to reduce members’ dues to help everyone out a bit. Last year CEJBO went back to the regular dues. Unfortunately, the cost of everything around us going up, CEJBO must also keep up with expenses, and must also raise it 2024-2025 dues.
CEJBO dues for the 2024-2025 season will be $70 applicable to all active members.
Inactive Membership:
For members to go inactive in 2024-2025 the dues are $40.00 Prior to going inactive a member must send a letter to the membership chairperson, currently Tony Candelario (acandelario514@gmail.com) indicating the reason why you want to become an inactive member. You will need to get this letter to TONY by May 15,2024. The Executive Board will review the application and render a decision within 10 days of receiving the information from Jerry. Going inactive must be reapplied for each year.
Lifetime members:
If you are a lifetime member of CEJBO and are still actively working basketball games, your dues are $0. Your CEJBO dues are waved due to your lifetime achievement.
Payment/Late Fee Schedule:
Payment is due May 15th, 2024. If your remittance is not received by May 15th, you will be assessed a penalty. Below are the penalty charges. If payment is made:
- Dues plus $25 penalty
May 24th – May 31st
- Dues plus $100 penalty
After June 1st you will be suspended from CEJBO. Reinstatement can be made via an appeal in writing to the Executive Board by June 30th. The penalty for reinstatement will be dues plus $150 in penalties.

- You can also use Venmo this year. Please send to phone number 908-812-1420. It is very important that you enter your name, or the member which is being paid for in the NOTES section of Venmo.
If payment is made through another person’s account, please make sure you reference your name to make sure payment is identified for recording purposes.

Referral Fees:
If you recommended a cadet(s) for last year’s (2023– 2024) class you are allowed a $10.00 reduction from your dues provided for each cadet that passed the class. Also, if you brought in a member from another organization, you are also entitled to a reduction of $10.00 reduction for each official who has become a member in good standing within our organization. You can deduct the amount from your payment for each cadet that you recommended.
Please make sure all your information is in correctly on Zebra Web. That is how we communicate to our members. Please contact Tont Candelario ( acandelario514@gmail.com ) if there is going to be any change in your status as a continued member of CEJBO. Also, contact him with any Zebra Web problems related to CEJBO.

Dear CEJBO Members: 2023 - 2024 Basketball Season
Meetings Notice:
The CEJBO Chapter meetings are as follows:
Sunday Breakfast Meeting is a MANDATORY meeting and must be attended.
Block the morning now. Please do not take any assignments prior to 12:00 NOON.
Make sure you bring your appetite.
Sunday, December 10th. 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Sommerville Elks. Located at 375 Union Ave. Bridgewater, NJ
CEJBO will once again be donating to Toys for Tots. Please bring in an unused, unwrapped toy to the meeting with you. These toys will be picked up by the East Brunswick VFW, and distributed to children who you will have made this Holiday Season something very special.
Both Rule Books and Case Books and something a little extra will be handed out at the meeting.
Please take your online concussion course if you have not done yet.

CEJBO dues were now way pasted due. ($60) Please email me if you have not sent in your check, or paid through Bill Pay. For members going in-active this year. CEJBO dues are $35.
State fees for in-active members would still need to be paid separately.
Please check your eligibility on the ZEBRA WEB. Under NJSIAA, REPORT, My Eligibility. If all lights are not green, please contact myself, Ryan Curtis, or Tony Candelario.
