UPDATE - 2025 Soccer Registration deadline has

been extended to Sunday 22 JUNE 2025. 

Welcome to the 2025 Immaculate Conception Soccer season!  The Immaculate Conception Soccer program is open to boys and girls of all abilities and combines an in-house clinic for Pre-K(4) and Kindergarten and participation in the Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program (ABSP) leagues for grades 1 through 8 as described below.  Dates listed below are tentative, and may change due to facility availability.  Information on uniforms will follow. 

Registration deadline for ABSP teams (Grades 1-8) is 22 JUNE 2025 - this is a recent requirement as the ABSP is continuing to go through some changes to improve and grow the programs and League.  There may be some slight changes to the League game schedule, including possible pre Labor Day tournaments and some in-season events, as well as the continuation of the end-of-season playoffs, which returned last year with 5 ICS teams qualifying and 3 winning their League Championship.  More to follow as it is decided and communicated.

In-House Soccer Clinic, Pre-K4 and K:

Must be 4 years old by 01 September 2024.  Learn basic skills and teamwork in a fun and enriching environment. Clinic sessions will be conducted Saturday mornings at ICS from 09:00-10:00, September 6^th through October 25^th (with a layoff on September 20^th for the Jessica Meredith Jacobsen 5K Memorial Run and 1K Walk).  Parent coaches and assistants are vital to the success of the program; even if you have no coaching experience, this is a great forum for kids and parents to learn a little about the game together.  Uniforms for the PreK4/Kindergarten clinic are provided as part of registration and will be distributed on the first session.

 ABSP U8 Clinic, Grades 1 and 2:

Separate boys and girls teams participate in a Saturday league that includes teams from other parishes. The primary objective of this program is to give children the skills and Christian attitude necessary for standard ABSP league soccer competition in future grades. Practices will be held Wednesday evenings at the Odyssey School field beginning in late summer.  Games will begin in early September and run through mid-November.  Uniforms for the U8 1st/2nd grade teams are provided as part of registration and will be distributed at a practice prior to the beginning of game play.  Registration is open through 22 June.

 ABSP Soccer, U10/12/14, Grades 3 through 8:

ABSP soccer promotes good sportsmanship and soccer skills in a framework of Catholic values. Twice-weekly practices begin in August, with grades 3-6 at The Odyssey School & grades 7-8 at ICS.  The League games (home games at ICS and road games held at other Archdiocesan school sites) start the week after Labor Day and run through mid-November.  Boy’s practices are generally Monday and Thursday evenings with games on Saturdays and Girl’s practices are generally Tuesday and Fridays with games on Sundays.  League championship playoff eligibility is determined by team's aggregate performance in their league over the course of the season  Please fill the uniform fields of the registration form if one is needed (if last season's still fits, they are good for this year).  Separate invoicing for the uniforms will be sent once the best pricing is finalized.  Registrations must be received by 22 June to meet ABSP deadlines.

ABSP League Soccer (Grades 3 – 8) - $150

About the ICAA

The ICAA sponsors athletic programs that promote positive educational experiences for the student athlete.  These experiences nurture spiritual, physical, emotional and social growth and encourage individual and team skill development.  Our programs include:

Fall Soccer – A skills-based coed clinic for PreK-4 and Kindergarten, boys & girls travel clinic teams for 1^st & 2^nd grade and grade-based teams for grades 3 through 8 that participate in the Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program (ABSP) CYO Soccer league.  Registration begins in May of each school year for the following fall season.

Winter Basketball – A skills-based coed clinic for Pre-K 4 through 2^nd Grade, a 3^rd Grade skills development program that competes against other Parish teams and grade-based teams for Grades 4-8 that competes in Baltimore Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) leagues and tournaments.  Registration opens annually on September.

ELIGIBILITY:  These sports activities are open to students at the Immaculate Conception School and parishioners of either Immaculate Conception or the Church of the Nativity. Those who are baptized Catholic and attend neighboring Catholic schools or parishes that do not offer sports may also eligible to participate.
