Rosenow for 2018 Hall of Fame
This year, the Huskies are nominating Bruce Rosenow for the 2018 Minnesota Baseball Association Hall of Fame. Bruce has served as the Huskies manager, president, and volunteer for many years. He has also been the Hutchinson High School head baseball coach, as well as coaching wrestling and football. Bruce's playing days can be traced back to his roots playing for the Brownton Bruins. He's served as a chairman for multiple state amateur baseball tournaments as well.
Bruce Rosenow started his baseball career in Brownton Minnesota in the 1960’s, and is still currently very active in the baseball community in Hutchinson. An excellent catcher in his playing days, Bruce participated in many High school and town teams games in the Brownton area. He also played at the college level at Gustavus College in St Peter. Upon graduation, Bruce continued to play town team and also started a lengthy career in coaching baseball at all levels. While in Hutchinson he was instrumental in the return of town team baseball to Hutchinson in the 1980’s, and served as the first manager of the new Hutch Huskies. In addition to town team, Bruce also coached VFW and high school baseball for several years including being the head coach at HHS for several years taking them to their first state tournament 2 decades. When his coaching and playing days had past, Bruce continued to stay active with amateur and legion baseball serving as the president of the Huskies, coordinator for Legion baseball, concession and tournament operations, and served as a chairperson for 4 state town team tournament hosted by Hutchinson.
