Fall Baseball Registration - This Sat - 10:00 until Noon!!
FALL BASEBALL
"DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE" REGISTRATION
Registration forms are available between now and 7/31 (during playoffs and tournament play) at the refreshment stand for all players ages 7 through 17 (Age Levels are 7-9, 9-11, 12-13 & 14-17). "League age" is your age as of May 1st of this year. Requests to play at a higher level than the player's league age will be reviewed by the Commissioner.
Registrations will also be held on two Saturdays in August (8/1 & 8/8) at the Pearlman Complex from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Teams will be "drafted" on August 19th. Players signing up late will be assigned to a team by the Commissioner. Requests to play with/for a specific player(s) or coach(s) will only be considered at draft time.
If you are unable to sign up on these dates, you can sign up online by going to the "Online Forms" area or contact the Fall Ball Commissioner (Mike Leinheiser) @ 215-487-3385 or mail your registration form to:

Games are played on Sat./Sun. beginning the 1st weekend after Labor Day and continuing until mid-November.
Registration Fee is $50.00. Money must be received prior to the first game. Make checks payable to the "21st Ward Jr. League".

The ORIOLES AA made a donation to the Love For Louie campaign, and received the following note:
Hello all- Louie and I wanted to thank all of you who sponsored him for his triathlon on June 14th.
Louie did very, very well. He swam 100 yards (much stronger since he had lessons), biked 2.8 miles and ran 1/2 mile in 24:36. Much faster than last year! Louie also exceeded his goal by raising $2,500 thanks to all of you!
Louie really loves to do this event and hopes he can count on you next year!

Orioles Picnic review
Despite the weather, a good time was had by all at the Orioles Picnic on Saturday. Plenty of food was eaten, clever team baskets were raffled off, a load of home runs were hit on the wiffle ball field, and most of the young ones got wet, whether by swimming in the pool or playing wiffle ball or volleyball in the rain.

Orioles Picnic - This Saturday!
The World Famous Orioles Picnic is only a few days away.
Here are some details:
* It will be held on Saturday June 20th from 11am to 6pm.
* It will be held at Mermaid Lake Swim Club.
* The Orioles will be providing...
- Corn on the Cob
- Roasted Pork
- Dom "Fry Daddy" Giordano's renowned deep-fried turkeys
- Clams
- Water
- Soda
- 2 kegs of beer
* The pavilion at Mermaid Lake where we will be located has a charcoal grill, which will be hot and ready for you to cook up whatever barbecue items you wish to bring.
* "Bud's Bingo" will once again be a highlight of the festivities.
* "Retiring" players and David Stokes Award winners will be honored.
* Team baskets will be raffled off.
* A 50/50 will be available to participate in.
* Orioles apparel will be available for purchase.

The Opening Day ceremonies were great, and the weather couldn't have been any better. Have a great season, everybody!
Orioles AA June Meeting
The next Orioles AA meeting will be held on Saturday, June 20th @ the Orioles AA picnic. Topics of discussion will include: How delicious the turkey, pork, clams and corn are; How high can Rob get the flame when starting the charcoal grill and how cool is the water in the pool.
