To all players current and past, parents, coaches & friends of Salem-Beverly Baseball:
After 17 years of involvement with this organization, the last 15 as League President, I have decided that the time has come for me to step away.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time running our Babe Ruth, Tompkins League, Senior Babe Ruth and most recently, American Legion programs, but I believe that a change is needed in order to keep our programs fresh and viable.
This program has been blessed with so many wonderful people over the years, and I know there are many more out there who will come along and get involved. This organization can only survive with the service of volunteers and it is my sincere hope that we will get more individuals involved going forward.
The greatest reward that I have received by serving as League President is the life-long friendships I have made not only here in Salem & Beverly, but also throughout the Eastern Massachusetts youth baseball community. To all of you, I say thank you.
To our past & current players, I can only hope that I have helped to give you some sort of positive lasting memories since it was always a personal goal of mine to make your baseball experience a positive one. So with a great deal of sadness but also a great deal of pride, effective September 1st I will no longer be serving as President or as a coach. I will, however be available as a mentor to those who choose to move this program forward.
Thank you to you all. It has been an awesome journey!
