  Open Gym: Girls & Boys in grades 4-8

                     Mon. Sept. 22     6-8 pm                  Wed. Oct. 1        6- 9 pm                

                     Wed. Sept. 24     6-8 pm                 Thur. Oct. 2        6- 9 pm


The Branchburg Basketball Association will hold Open Gym for Branchburg residents in grades 5-8 on four dates at Branchburg Central Middle School. After some light skill- development drills, pick-up games will be organized by grade/age clusters. The BBA will supervise players at all times.


Registration                  All registration is done at BCMS.

  • If a child played basketball with the BBA last year, the parent and child will simply sign-in at the door.
  • If a child did not play with the BBA last year, a Medical Release form must be completed when the parent and child sign-in. This form can be found under ‘General Handouts.’


Copies will be available at the door.

At no time, are players permitted to leave BCMS without a parent. Parents must come in to BCMS to pick up their child.

This position must be filled for the BBA to be operational in 2014-15.

Descriptions of the requirements for this position can be found under 'News/Information' on the menu bar. The Application Form can be found in  the 'General Handouts' section of the menu bar.


In-town Basketball     Registration for In-town Basketball for boys and girls in grades 3-8 will open in September and conclude in late October. The In-town player draft will be held in late October and practices will begin in early November. Games will start on the first Saturday in December. Every effort is being made to create the following divisions:

  Girls 3/4, 5/6, 7/8

  Boys 3, 4, 5/6, 7/8 


Travel Basketball       Travel tryouts will be held for boys and girls teams in grades 4-8 in early October. Details regarding the tryout process, including the Player Evaluation form, will be sent out via email and posted here shortly.

Travel teams play anywhere between 20-35 games from early December through mid-March.


If you would like to apply to be a Head Coach of a Travel Team, please complete the appropriate form located in the 'General Handouts' section of the menu bar. Currently, there are no applicants for Boys 4, Girls 4, and Girls 5. However, applicants can apply for any grade level.


NO child shall be disqualified from participation in the BBA due to economic circumstances. Please contact Chris Preston, BBA President, at to inquire.
