Mechanics that will be covered: Leg Drive, Arm Circle, Hip Angle and Wrist Snap
 
Pitches that will be covered: Change Up and Drop Ball
 
You will: Increase velocity, gain confidence, develop consistency, improve control, become stronger and achieve better balance
 
Camp is for 5th - 8th Grade
 
You must bring your own catcher.

$50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time you make your reservation.

 

During this 6 week time period there will be a focus on continuing to work on mechanics, improving movement pitches, and maintaining endurance throughout the junior high season and fall tournaments. Also, we will evaluate how the student is doing during their season and tune up the points needed at that time.

LESSON CANCELLATIONS POLICY
 
Lessons may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. 
All approved cancellations must be confirmed by an authorized THC
 rep. or registered on our voice mail prior to the 24 hour period. 
 

Any cancellation not meeting this requirement may result in
 
the lesson being subtracted from the lesson package.
 
 



Amy Harre inducted to 2011 SIU Hall of Fame
 
CARBONDALE - Southern Illinois University has announced its 2011 Hall of Fame Class. The seven-person class, which will be formally
 inducted Feb. 4, features men's basketball players Darren Brooks, Troy Hudson and Kelly Firth-Hatfield, swimmer Robert Dickson, softball player Amy Harrebaseball player John Hoscheidt and track and field athlete Cameron Wright.
 
Harre (2002-05) ranks among the best pitchers in MVC history, earning first-team All-MVC honors all four years, plus MVC Pitcher of the Year in 2005. Harre is the school leader in career wins (84), innings pitched (820 1/3), complete games (90) and shutouts (49) and second in career ERA (1.05). She pitched three no-hitters and struck out 704 batters in her career. Harre was also a three-time Academic All-American (2003-05). The Salukis made three NCAA tournament appearances during her career where she won seven games. Harre is a self-employed pitching instructor.

Introducing Amy Harre…THC’s newest Softball Pitching Instructor

 

A graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Amy Harre excelled on the field as a senior, earning MVC Pitcher of the Year honors and her fourth straight 1st Team all-MVC pitching honor. She was also named All-Great Lakes Region Second Team, going 23-9 with a 1.34 ERA, which ranked second in the Valley and tied for 40th in the nation. Her 23 wins were also second in the MVC. In her final season, Harre had 13 shutouts, 25 complete games, a no-hitter and 171 strikeouts in 214 innings pitched, which ranked second in the MVC. Her 23 wins were a career-high and ranks third in a single season at SIU. The 23 wins extended her school and MVC-record win total to 84. Harre’s 13 shutouts rank second in a single season behind her 2004 SIU record of 14. Harre is also the SIU career-record holder with 90 complete games and 820.1 innings pitched.

 

Since her days at SIUC, she was drafted first round for the Chicago Bandits. Harre has played for the World University Games team (2006-2008) and the Chicago Bandits (2005-2007) and the Philadelphia Force (2008-present) of the National Pro Fastpitch League. Also, she played overseas in Nuoro, Italy, Perth, Australia, and Holland.

from 4pm to 10pm for softball pitching lessons.
