Coaches are need for the 2010 baseball and softball season.

As time rapidly approaches for our kids to dust off their gloves and put on their cleats our need for people from throughout the community to volunteer their services as coaches also nears. We are currently looking for a few good men and women who will dedicate their time to teach and mentor more than 350 children during the 2010 season.

If this sounds like the job for you, please sign up today!! The pay is small, (ok, it's actually none) but the rewards are priceless!!

Volunteer Forms may be found under the "Handout' section of this website. Please be sure to list what age group you are interested in coaching at the top of the page. All prospective coaches are subject to a background check.

Missing Equipment
If you were a regular season coach or an All-Star coach in 2009 and you have not yet turned in your equipment, please do so as soon as possible. We are currently assessing our equipment needs for the upcoming season and need everything returned.

~ Assessments ~

Children who are new to Charlestown Little League and/or are moving up to a new division in either softball or baseball for the 2010 season will need to attend Assessments on February 27th in the Civic Center gym. Please see the schedule below for times. Children who will play T-ball (5&6 years old) this year will not need to attend.

Several changes have been made in both the softball and baseball divisions for

Coaches Selected – February 21^st

Coach’s Meeting/Hand out Equipment –                  February 24^th at 7 pm (Civic Center)

Assessments – February 27^th(Civic Center)

Drafts – February 28^th   Boys divisions 2-4 pm
                                    Girls divisions 5-7 pm

First Practice – March 1^st

Opening Day – April 10^th

Picture Day – April 10^th(tentatively scheduled)

Booster Day – May 15^th (tentatively scheduled)

REWARD!!!
A cash reward is being offered to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and prosecution of any group or individuals regarding recent vandalism of the two gazebos at the Little League Park during the Halloween weekend. Please contact the Charlestown Police Department at 256-6345 to report what you know.
