Important Message; Recruiting Help and Sign-Up for Feeder Team:

Unfortunately, with our new coaching staff, we weren't able to spread the word this spring to Hoover and Cabin John students regarding our feeder team. The coaching staff would very much like our players and parents to reach out to anyone they may know who would be interested in playing on the Middle School football team. All 8th graders residing within the Churchill school district at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year will be eligible to join the team. Additionally, 7th graders within the district who have at least 2 years of tackle football experience, and 6th graders who weigh 195+ pounds are also eligible to play.
The feeder team will be coached by members of our high school staff and will use the same defensive and offensive sets that Coach Song will be installing at Churchill. This is an opportunity for our middle school players to familiarize themselves with the schemes and techniques that they will employ during their high school playing days. The coaches' paramount goals, however, will be to induct our middle school players into the tradition that Coach Song plans to reinstate at Churchill. The conventions and culture established by Churchill's first and most storied coach, Fred Shepherd. Coach Song and his staff seek to impart life lessons that will serve Bulldog players well on the field, but also far beyond the gridiron. The coaches will have succeeded if they help develop a desire to excel and set goals, the discipline necessary to work arduously toward attainment of both team and individual goals, the determination to overcome challenges, the attention to detail necessary to refine any craft, and the devotion to sacrifice ego in the service of team and teammates. These are the primary goals of our coaches. Please help us recruit and spread the word!
Anyone interested in signing up for the feeder team can do so at the RFL (Rockville Football League) website (, or at the following link:
Thank you,
Coach Song and Staff
