2010 Season- First Scrimmage
January 31, 2010
Last year's schedule created a road team schedule with Connally being on the road until the Connally Classic in March, this year's schedule is a little better as we play all 3 scrimmages at home and the regular season-opener at home before going on the road. So come check out the Varsity on Feb. 9th as we take on the Leander Lions at 5pm.
Connally Varsity downs Alumni 10-3 to wind down Pre-Season
January 31, 2010
Connally ends Fall- Season with a 10-3 victory over the Connally Alumni. The baseball season will start off the second week in February with 4 scrimmages on tap before tournament season begins. Connally will be hosting 1 Tournament the first weekend in March, parental involvement will be needed at this tournament. Please contact Doug Tobler or Bruce Morrison for info.
2nd Annual Connally Alumni Game Set for January 23
The 2nd Annual Alumni game will be held on January 23 at 1PM weather permiting. All former Connally baseball players are invited to come out and play. Those interested or have questions can contact Bruce Morrison at 512 619-2952. Remember Alumni the Varsity won last year's event.
Josh Bartz signs with Western Texas College
Josh Bartz, 2009 Graduate of Connally HS, has signed with Western Texas College, to further his education and baseball career. Congratulations to Josh and his parents, Mike and Debbie.
Texas Rangers Area Code Team
Anthony Bryant and Dustin Babola were both invited to the Texas Rangers Area Code Team Tryouts. A professional scout has to select you to be invited to these tryouts. Out of 400 "Junior" High School players selected in Texas and Lousiana, Tony Bryant made the roster of 25. This team will be playing 7 other MLB sponsored teams in Long Beach, CA 8/4-8/10.
