Memorial Day In 1952 Private Kenneth McGrady USMC was wounded by an airburst from a CHICOM artillery round. He was evacuated from the field by members of Howe Company 7th Marine Regt. Kenny did not recover from those wounds and was awarded his second purple heart posthumously. From the inception of this Country, Kenneth McGrady is just one of over 672,000 American service men who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Though there is little that we can do to properly honor the memory of Kenneth McGrady, we can thank the people who served in uniform. They are your fathers, your grandfathers, your uncles and your neighbors. Honor the memory of the fallen by thanking the Veterans who are still with us. They served alongside the Marines, Sailors and Soldiers who never made it home and keep their memory alive.
