Game Status For Thursday 5/25 (Weather)

 

 

Sykesville at Rossiter has been postponed due to weather.

 

Rockets Offense Overcomes Kings

 

DuBois defeats Kersey 11-0

The Rockets improved to 4-0 on the season with a shutout win over the Kings.  Dom Kriner scattered four hits over 5 innings picking up the win.  Josh Sorbera led the way for DuBois with three hits and three RBI’s and Matt Zimmerman picked up two doubles.  Austin Amacher and Nate Sabados also recorded multi-hit games. 

For Kersey,  Shane Harberger started on the mound and issued 10 walks in his two innings of work.  Caleb Bennett led the Kings offensively collecting two hits. 

The 13 free passes the Rockets picked up give them 43 in their four games this season. 

The Rockets are off until Sunday when they travel to Sykesville to take on the 5-time defending champs.  Kersey will host Brookville at Beimel field on Thursday.

 

 


 

 

 

 

Grays and Generals Suspended 5-5 After 8 Innings

Senators Capture First Win In Bigler

 

Sykesville clobbered Buster's Sports Bar, 14-2 in a 5 inning mercy rule game.

 

Senators hitters hammered out 13 hits and were aided by 11 walks from Buster's hurlers.  The Senators were led by Adam Fox, Dean "Beaner" Williams, and Jared Baummer.  Fox went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI's and started the game on the mound where he went 2 innings allowing 1 run and 5 K's.  Beaner went 3 for 4 at the plate with a "Beaner Bomb" (HR).  Beaner pitched the final 3 innings allowing only 1 run on 5 hits.  Baummer was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles 3 RBI's and 3 Runs scored.

J Lannon took the loss for the Buster's and Adam Fox picked up the win.
