Summer Camp information 

  • Our summer camps will run from the 6th of July through the 28th of August

  • Camps will run Monday through Friday 9am drop off with a 3pm pick up.

  • Kids will get to play lots of different fun games while training a new skill set every day such as passing or defending!

  • For the hot days, we will have access to an indoor facility where the kids can rest and cool down.

  • Players can come to learn and develop their skills in time for the travel season or come and play soccer for the first time in a relaxed environment.

  • Players will always be supervised and coached by our professional ATSC coaches who also coach in our Fort Lee program, always giving your son or daughter a familiar face to enjoy the week with.

    • Friday - Small sided play  (World Cup - come dressed in your counties clothing for our world cup day)

  • Players will be split into older and younger groups according to their age and ability. Its important that players are dropped off no earlier than 8:50am as this is the coaches time to set up and have everything organised for the day ahead.

Girls Travel Team - Start up for the Fall Season 2015

Thank you to all the players that came out to our recent travel team tryouts and to the families for their continued to support.  We have been working hard on building a girls program that will encompass all age groups for this upcoming fall season.  To this point, we are now putting a plan in place where teams are indeed being created to play travel soccer this coming fall.  We are looking for girls across all age groups in support of this mission.  Do not miss out on an opportunity to advance your skill sets in the game of soccer through a positive structured and enthusiastic atmosphere .

Fall Late Registration

The Fort Lee Recreation League Fall Season late registration is now open - soon to close July 31st.  Any Registration received at that point will be honored on a case by case basis only dependent upon team space availability. 

 

Seasonal FAQ's - Summer Camps, Indoor/Outdoor Rec, Travel

IN-TOWN RECREATION FALL OUTDOOR SEASON QUESTIONS

Q. How can I register my child for outdoor soccer?
A. For the convenience of our loyal families, registration for participants of the Fort Lee Soccer League will be conducted via online registration on
www.fortleesoccer.com. The beginning and ending date will be announced on our home page.  Outside town players are also welcomed.   

Q. Once I register, what equipment do I need to purchase?
A.· Outdoor soccer shoes (which are sold at almost every sporting goods stores).
   · Black shorts (that do not exceed the length of the players kneecap).
   · Soccer socks (preferably white, which should go up to the players kneecap).
   · Shin guards
   · A soccer ball to bring to practice

Q. What is the duration of the in-town outdoor season?
A. The season usually begins the second weekend in September and is played through approximately the third week in November.  Nine games will be played in total followed by a year-end tournament

Q. When are outdoor soccer practices held?
A. In most cases, the practices are held once a week Monday through Friday.  Practice times vary dependent upon your child’s team/age grouping.  Generally speaking PW division practices 6pm to 7pm, Freshman division practice 6pm to 7pm or 7pm to 8pm, Sophomore division practices 7pm to 8pm or 8pm to 9pm and Jr/Sr division practice 7pm to 8pm or 8pm to 9pm


Q. If I missed the fall outdoor registration, what should I do?
A. Please send an e-mail to the board at
boardmembers@fortleesoccer.com indicating your name, your daytime phone number, your child’s name and your child’s date of birth. Your child will be placed on a waiting list and potentially placed on a team as openings make themselves available.   

Q. When and where are in-town games usually played and at what times?
A. Games are played on Saturday’s at the Middle School and Van Fleet Field.  All games will last approximately one hour.  Pee Wee games are generally played 10:30am ending 12:00pm, Freshman and Sophomore division games generally played 2:00pm through 7:00pm and finally the Jr/Sr division games are generally played 5:30 through 10:00pm. 

 

Q. If there is bad weather are games still played?
A. Yes. However should there be a bad storm or inclement weather of any nature, an announcement would be made on the home page of the website / emails will be sent to all families. Always check the website / emails before leaving home to ensure that there have been no changes made to the original schedule.  This pertains to games and practices. 

Q. How will I be notified of any game / practice cancellation?
A. In the event of any game cancellation, the League’s Games Commissioner will e-mail all families.  In ADDITION, the League will post any notices on its’ home page of any cancellation.

If there is no notice or no phone call from your child’s coach, THE GAME IS ON. Because of the large size of the program, please do not call the league’s Board of Directors as we will be unable to return weather-related calls, especially since any potential cancellations will be posted on the website.

Q. When are canceled games rescheduled?
A. Game rescheduling will be handled on a per case basis.  notifications will be sent out to the families with new start times…

Q. Who will coach the outdoor league?

A. In an effort to maximize the enjoyment of all involved, further advance player development and heightened the children’s experiences, each division will be assigned two dedicated ATSC trainers.  These trainers will be responsible for all divisional games and practices thus promoting uniformity and consistency within the division.

Q. What are the outdoor season expectations?

    • The season will include 9 weeks of training and games – beginning approx second week of September

    • No scores will be kept during in Season games

    • The final 10th week of play:  One day divisional tournaments.  All teams will have a chance to win the championship trophy! Participation medals to be handed out to all players – Ending approx. third week of November. 

    • One game jersey will be handed out to all players

    • Teams will be formed in late August and subsequently player/team announcements will follow accordingly.     

 IN-TOWN RECREATION WINTER INDOOR SEASON QUESTIONS

Q. How can I register my child for indoor soccer?

   The last 4 items your child would have if they played in the outdoor fall season.

A. In most cases, the practices are held on Sunday’s. Depending on the team your child may be placed on, the practice could begin as early as 12:00 p.m. or as late as 9:35 p.m.

Travel Team information- Fall Spring and Winter

  • Commitment: Fall and Spring with winter being additional (Indoor)

  • Try-Out:  In order to play for our travel teams you must go through a selection process by either tryouts or by trial  periods. To organize a trial period, please email Adam at adamt@advancedtotalsoccer. The trial period will last for 2 weeks.  In this time the player will participate in all team drills which will allow the coach(s) an opportunity to view and assess the player’s skill level.

  • Uniform: Additional fee to purchase uniform – not included in yearly Registration fee

  • Players: The league also accepts players from other towns
  • Age appropriate:  Travel teams will be formed for:
    •  U7   - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2008)

    •  U8   - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2007)

    •  U9   - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2006)

    •  U10 - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2005)

    •  U11 - NCSA & MAPS (Born on/after 08/01/2004)

    •  U12 - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2003)

    •  U13 - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2002)

    • U14 - NCSA (born on/after 08/01/2001)

    • Coaching: Across all seasons, all sessions and games taken by our professional coaches at ATSC

  • Fall Training: Up to 3 times a week (mondays/wednesdays/fridays) for 1.5 hours per session (Fall Ball) with their dedicated ATSC trainers who will guide the players throughout the season.

  • Fall Location: Turf field within Fort Lee – Van Fleet or Middle School

  • Fall League: NCSA (Northern County Soccer Association), 10 games (5 home & 5 away) within 35mins drive of Fort Lee, Saturdays in fall home games to be played at VF or MS

  • Winter season (Not included in starting fee, however, highly recommended to continue year round development

  • Winter Training: At least 1 time per week for 1 hour @ a venue in Fort Lee – CC

  • Winter Games: 5 to 7 game seasons @ a venue in Teaneck or Waldwick

  • Spring Training:At least 1 time per week for 1.5 hours @ a venue in Fort Lee (additional training may be available closer to the time.

  • Spring League: Games: 10 game in a NSCA league; 10 games (5 home & 5 away) within 35mins drive of Fort Lee  Sundays in Spring.  home games to be played at VF or MS

 

Summer Select Travel Season 

  • Summer 2015 (Not included in starting fee, however, highly recommended to continue year round development)

  • Training: At least 2 sessions per week for 1.5 hours @ a venue in Fort Lee

  • Games: Plays up to 3 weekend tournaments

  • Players: Open to Fort Lee and non-Fort Lee Players – Girls and Boys - via yearly try-out

  • Season: The Summer Select Travel season takes place over a 7 week time period beginning early July
