Adult Baseball in the St. Louis Metro East Area
Welcome to the website of the Fountain of Youth (FOY) Men's Baseball League. Based in Cahokia, IL and drawing players from the greater St. Louis area, FOY was founded in 1943, making it the oldest continuous amateur baseball league in southern Illinois.
In a typical season the league boasts 8-10 teams who compete in a 28-30 game regular season, followed by playoffs (every team is guaranteed at least one playoff game). The games are 7 innings (plus extra innings if needed), with no time limit, using Major League rules with the designated hitter. Every team is required to wear matching and numbered uniforms, and each team may use an open roster, though there is an 8 game minimum to qualify a player for the playoffs. All games are refereed by a pair of trained umpires.
In order to play in FOY, players must be 27 years of age by the end of the calendar year in which they compete.
All games are played at the Cahokia American Legion field, located at 20 Delano Street, Cahokia, Illinois. Facility amenities include: concessions (no outside food/drinks permitted), restrooms, pavilion and picnic tables, ample and safe parking, 15 acres of fenced grass area.
