We are Gateway Hockey - A Great Tradition
Established in 1972, Gateway Hockey has a proud tradition of promoting athletic and academic excellence. The club provides Gateway School District students in grades 6 thru 12 with the opportunity to play ice hockey at the AAA level of competition, and has enjoyed tremendous success building the character, skills, and winning attitude of its players. Without question, the Club's goal and expectation is to win at every level of play, whether Freshman, Junior Varsity, or Varsity, but the true strength of this program is that winning is always judged by more than the score on the board.

Team pictures are scheduled for Monday, November 2 @ Center Ice Arena.
JV is scheduled for 7:00pm, Varsity is scheduled for 7:30, and Freshman at 8:00pm.
Please bring both home and away jerseys.
If you don't have your team jerseys yet, please check with your team parent.

Gateway Hockey Sponsor Book Ad Campaign
The Gateway Hockey Sponsor Book is a win/win for our organization as well as our sponsors that gain exposure through their advertising. This is an optional fund raiser that can help reduce your out of pocket expenses for the coming season's player fees. To participate, you will need to solicit local businesses to advertise in our sponsor book that will be published at or around the start of the season and distributed thereafter. For each sponsor that you enlist, you will receive 60% profit from the amount they purchase (ie. - A $100.00 ad would credit your hockey bill $60.00). Check the list of protected ads before approaching businesses. For those of you that are new to Gateway Hockey Club, the businesses listed are the only ones that you cannot go after for a sponsorship, unless your name is listed there. I am also attaching the letter and form for the business to complete and return to you with a business card and a check made payable to Gateway Hockey Club. A deadline for ad submissions has not yet been established, but is anticipated to be in the September timeframe, so go ahead and get started right away. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Roseann Perhac or Ramona Vaughn concerning the ad book.

Gateway Hockey Alumni Honor Roll - Final Election Ballot
Please go to the "Hand-Outs" section menu of the web site and select the Alumni Ballot from the list of documents. You are then requested to select FIVE (5) Alumni from the list. The FIVE (5) Alumni receiving most votes on THIS Ballot will be INDUCTED to Gateway Hockey Alumni Honor Roll during the Alumni Weekend December 26 & 27, 2009.

NEW TIMES - Gateway Hockey Practices for All Teams in November
November ice practice days and times for all Gateway teams have been modified beginning November 1st. Please refer to the Calendar or Schedule posted herein for the latest information. You may also scroll down to the bottom of this web page to see the upcoming games, practices and events.
Developmental - Learn to Play Hockey with the Gateway Gators!
Next session begins Sunday, September 27th, from 4:20pm - 5:20pm.
Great Coaching - Our coaching staff is all USA Hockey certified from Intermediate through Master Level as well as some of Gateway Hockey Club’s Junior Varsity and Varsity players.
Hockey is Affordable - The cost for each session is very reasonable for a 10 week session.
Levels of Play - Gateway fields teams starting at the Developmental level, Freshman, JV, and Varsity levels, which covers grades 1 through 12.
Cost Per Player: $150.00 Total Due With Registration
Equipment Needed
1. Helmet with face mask
2. Elbow pads
3. Shin pads
4. Hockey skates (skates can be rented at rink)
5. Hockey stick
• Optional Equipment includes neck guard, mouth guard, shoulder/chest pad, hockey gloves, hockey pants, athletic protector, hockey socks.
