THE Dewey Decker Classic Fastpitch Tournament brought to you by Powerhouse Athletics is scheduled for August 10-12, 2012. Mark your calendars!!! Further information and registration forms are now posted. The tournament will be played at the lighted Akzo Nobel Softball Complex on Pinecrest Road in the Village of Howard. Age groups will consist of 12U, 14U, and 16U. We may consider a 10U bracket and/or an 18U bracket depending on interest and space. Powerhouse 12U - Player's Choice 12u Spring Break Round-Robin Tournament

Congrats to our 12u team for another great round-robin tournament early in the 2012 season! Our team won 2 of 3 games throughout the day. The opening game was decided by an International Tie-Breaker, falling short on a well-played game to the Wisconsin Bandits Black team by a score of 2-4. Next, our girls defeated the Wisconsin Bandits Red team 4-1. Then finished out the day by shutting out the Fox River Rush 7-0. Looking forward to a great 2012 season!!

Powerhouse 12U - Player's Choice 12u Winter Round-Robin Tournament Champs!!

Congrats to our 12u team for a great day and start of the 2012 season! The team went undefeated throughout the day by shutting out the Jr. Phoenix 8-0 and the Lakeshore Rise 5-0, and then finishing the night against Lakeland-Kenosha 9-2.

Powerhouse 16U - 2011 ASA-A NORTHERN NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!

The Green Bay Powerhouse 16U girls fastpitch team traveled to Mt. Pleasant, MI August 2-8 to compete in the ASA “A” Northern National Championships and came away with the top title after having to beat the Munster (IN) Magic twice in the finals, 6-0 and 3-2 late Sunday afternoon. The Powerhouse team went 10-1 throughout the week including two pool games, with their only loss coming in a rain-delayed 8am game on Sunday morning to the Crown Point, IN Bulldogs. That loss placed the team into the loser’s bracket where they had to win three games in a row (including a 1-0 win over that same Crown Point team) to get to the finals. The team outscored their opponents 42-18 across the eleven games.
Green Bay Powerhouse players included: Raissa Reynolds (Manitowoc Lincoln HS); Courtney Dart (Algoma HS); Danielle DJ Garceau (Bay Port HS); Lindsey Luedke (Bay Port HS); Ashley Baker (Bay Port HS); Nicole Sharon (Gladstone, MI HS); Allison Weisnicht (Shawano HS); Lauren Janssen (Bay Port HS); Heather Sanderson (Rapid River, MI HS); McKenna Larsen (Oconto Falls HS); Christine Sharon (Gladstone, MI HS); Lydia Turnquist (Bay Port HS). Other integral team members not able to play at nationals include: Mel Leopold (Stevens Point Area HS); Taylor Gutzman (Bay Port HS); Hannah Long (Bay Port HS) and Hannah Hilbert (Bay Port HS).

Mt. Pleasant Drillers, MI (2-0); Northern Illinois Lightning (4-3); Detroit Vengeance (6-0); Wisconsin Bandits Black (4-0); Ohio Outlaws (7-4); Crown Point Bulldogs, IN (2-4); Quad City Firebirds, IA (3-2); Lemont Rockers, IL (4-3); Crown Point Bulldogs, IN (1-0); Munster Magic, IN (6-0 & 3-2)
Three weeks earlier, the Green Bay Powerhouse 16U team also won the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan NSA State Championship in Middleton by going undefeated (5-0) for the weekend with wins over the Wisconsin Lightning (6-5 in 9 innings); Pride of the Midwest (10-0); Fox River Rush (8-0); Wisconsin Elite (6-5); and the Fox River Rush (2-0) in the championship game.
It was a successful summer for the Green Bay Powerhouse 16U team as they won 4 of 6 tournaments entered, also including the Appleton Rockers Kickoff tournament in June and the Wisconsin State Games in Baraboo in July.

The Powerhouse Girls Fastpitch Softball Teams would appreciate any new or continued sponsorship help at any time. Typically, annual sponsorships will be in effect for the year starting October 1st until the following September 31st. Our sponsorship letter is available for your review by clicking on the link. It will offer more information about the team, and the benefits that the various sponsorship opportunity levels can provide. In addition, we can also offer company banner space and advertising through our indoor practice facility on Velp Ave. in Green Bay. The goal of the organization and each individual team this year will be to continue to compete with the highest level of competition possible in state, regional and national tournaments and college showcase events, while instilling sportsmanship, leadership, confidence and self-improvement in all aspects of their life. Your sponsorships help lessen the burden for the players and families involved in this organization from throughout Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, and will be very much appreciated by all of the extended families involved.
