Annual Member Meeting Set

As required by the incorporation of Gladstone Junior Baseball we will be holding our annual membership meeting at Gladstone High School on November 20th at 7:00 PM.  All members are encouraged to attend.  The Bylaws define a member as follows:  Voting Membership:  All parents or legal guardians who have a child registered on a Gladstone Junior Baseball team are eligible to vote and participate in Gladstone Junior Baseball activities.

Any person who is interested in promoting baseball and Gladstone Junior Baseball but who does not have a child registered on a Gladstone Junior Baseball team may petition the Gladstone Junior Baseball Board of Directors to become a voting member of Gladstone Junior Baseball.  Upon approval by the Board of Directors, they may participate in all Gladstone Junior Baseball activities.

Please set aside this time to attend and help with comments and concerns for the future of GJBA.  Phone for info:  503-680-9231.

Oregon Junior State Champions

Congratulations to the Gladstone High School Junior State Team as they defeated Scappoose, 10-2, to capture the 2014 Oregon Junior State Championship held at Western Oregon University in Monmouth.  The team was coached by Casey Webster, Rob Staehle and Mark Rourke.  The Gladiators, made up of sophomore, junior and seniors at Gladstone High School, went a perfect 4-0 in the summertime classic, which dates back to 1950.  All of the Gladstone players have previously played in the Gladstone Junior Baseball program and their hard work finally payed off with a State Championship!

Congratulations to the Gladstone Midget National Team, coached by Robert Marroquin, as they swept the Clackamas County Tournament and advanced to the Junior Baseball Organization State Championships, where they finished in 4th Place.  It was a very exciting year for everyone.  Way to go boys!

A special thanks to the Coaches and Volunteers who helped make another successful Rookie season, which ended in our annual Jamboree on June 21st at Dierickx Park.

Thanks to the Midget and Rookie Teams that have collected funds for our 2014 Skills Challenge.  The results have been tabulated and the prizes were awarded during the Bill Bender Memorial Tournament on June 7th.

The top fundraisers include:

Rookie Division:

1. Dylan Wisenbaugh (Under Armor Helmet)

2. Tanner Tracy (Louisville Slugger Bag & Bat)

3. Blake Tracy (Louisville Slugger Bag)

Midget Division:

1. Jordyn Kunz (Under Armor Helmet)

2. Brycen Bryan (Nike Diamond Elite Glove)

3. Johnny West (Louisville Slugger Bag)

Thanks to all who helped make our Can & Bottle Drive such a huge success on Saturday, April 19th.  We filled two semi-trucks with returnable items.  Thanks to everyone for pitching in to help raise needed funds for the Association.

Season Schedules are available to view on the Clackamas County Junior Baseball site at

Parade Magazine Article
Gladstone Junior Baseball would like to remind all coaches, parents and players of the importance of displaying good sportsmanship at all Junior Baseball events. If we as an association take extra efforts in regards to being good sports it will make for a much more enjoyable experience for all involved.
Click on the link marked Parade Magazine Article for a good read on how youth sports is being effected by adults who sometimes forget that the focus should be teaching fundamentals and having FUN!

Rainout Information To Be Posted On Website

Rainout information will be posted in the ticker that runs across the top of your screen directly under the Gladstone Junior Baseball Logo. The information will be updated on a daily basis after 3:00 PM. The information will also be available by calling the City of Gladstone Recreation Department at 503-656-5225 ext. 4. This addition should help provide better notification to players and parents of cancellations due to weather and will hopefully eliminate numerous phone calls.
