HMFL to Tri State Youth Football !!!
HMFL will be playing with the Tri State Youth Football League in 2012! This change will be challenging to all of us...but by working together we can make the transition without too many headaches! Signups will begin on May 5, 2012. Your child MUST be present at the time of signing up and must have an original birth certificate with the raised seal on it. The cost this year will be $75 for the first participant and $65 for each additional participant. They must have obtained the age of 6 by July 31, 2012 and can be no more than 12 on July 31, 2012. There will be 5 teams this year - E through A. The E team will consist of 6 year olds only and will play 2 quarters at the end of the D team game. All games will be played on Saturdays. Times and schedules will be out in the next couple of months. Also....practice will not start until Wednesday, Aug 1, however there will be a 2 week drill/practice beginning on June 16th. This will not be mandatory, but will get the boys started for the season! If you have any questions, please contact one of our board members. Also please follow us on the Facebook page!
FOR PRACTICE PLEASE READ BELOW!
As in the HMFL Handbook, atleast one parent must be in attendance at practices and games! PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR CHILD OFF AND LEAVE!!! If something were to happen to your child you need to be there. Also, some coaches are meeting parents at the gates to get to know the faces of their parents, this is very important because at games they will not let the child go off alone or with someone they do not recognize. This is for your childs safety. We are not babysitters during practice, you are expected to be there and be able to find if you are needed!!!
Also.....Parents, after your child's practice is over they are to leave the field. We have several kids who stay on the field and playing after their practice is over. Someone is going to get hurt and we dont want this to happen. From now on, if your child/children are seen playing football or just simply playing on the field after their practice is over they will be asked to leave the field.
