2013 GMYFL SCHEDULE DRAFT
Happy New Year to current and prospective – members we are excited about recent club additions and look forward to continued growth for these 2013 seasons. We have added two new divisions based on our projected growth which will now accommodate teams and players from multiple skill levels. All divisions are competitive and offer an experience that includes local, regional and national opportunities for teams that excel in their divisions.
Clubs will now be placed in a division based on previous seasons win lost percentages. We believe that a clubs winning percentages is the best way to evaluate and properly place teams in the most appropriate divisions. This is also a fair way to insure that all teams have a fair and equal chance to excel each year. If clubs over-all performance percentages improve, that club will then potentially move to a higher division. Each division represents 33.3% of all the D1 competitive division.
Example: If an AFC club dominates their entire division 8u thru 14u, they will more than likely trade places with the NFC’s lowest performer next year.
National D1 AAAA (NFC) 8 teams which plays 8 regular season games, top 6 teams to NFC playoffs/Championship, MAYFC Regional & AAU Nationals
Core teams required 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, Teams travel together.
American D1 AAA (AFC) 8teams which plays 8 regular season games, top 6 teams to AFC playoffs/Championship, MAYFC Regional & AAU Nationals

The DFC is a division for 2nd and 3rd teams. We don't classify this division as developmental because there may be first teams participating however, teams will be carefully evaluated before schedules are finalized. No Core required available for; 8u, 10u, 12u only
6u Mighty Tots division is the hidden jewel of the GMYFL. It offers the very young football player a chance to develop and sharpen their skills in a semi-competitive play format. The 6u game have a few developmental and safety modifications that helps to ensure game flow but other than that, these little tikes "get it in" like the big boys. for more info on 6u division see the GMYFL SOP rulebook.
