    Hanover Post #14 American Legion Baseball

    Information for 2010 Season
    Hanover Post #14 American Legion will sponsor its 53rd Legion Baseball team in 2010 competing in the York County American Legion Baseball League. The team is open for ages 15 to 19, residing in the Hanover Borough. Organizational meeting to be held in mid April 2010.

    THANKS to Harold H. Bair Post #14 American Legion for your sponsorship of this youth activity. 2010 will mark the 50th year of the home of Hanover Post #14 DILLER FIELD. Donated by Charles and Mary Diller in 1960.


    2010 REGION 4 TOURNAMENT has been awarded to Hanover Post #14 with approximate dates for the tournament of July 18 to 22 of 2010. Diller Field will serve as the main field while two games will be played at Brushtown Athletic Association.

    2010 DATES OF INTEREST (estimated)
    Winter Workouts beginning Sunday, January 10
    Regular Season May 28 through July 2
    York County Playoffs July 6 through July 14
    Regional 4 Tournament (hosted by Hanover who receives automatic bid) July 18 through July 22
    Pennsylvania State Tournament at Boyertown July 27 through July 31

    New uniforms are also being purchased for the 2010 season!

    CONGRATULATIONS--Troy Wentz who will be inducted into the Pennsylvania American Legion Sports Hall of Fame on July 26 in Boyertown, joining 2004 inductee Jeff Miller.



    2009 RECAP
    Final League Record 10-6-1, 7th place, Final Overall Record 11-9-1
    Hanover Post #14 received the 7th Seed in the York County Playoff Tournament and was defeated 8-4 by Suburban York in First Round of County Playoffs.

    CONGRATULATIONS--Brandon Renoll who was named co-outstanding pitcher for the York County League. (5 Wins 0 Losses, 47.3 innings, 15 earned runs, 36 hits, 7 walks and 42 strikeouts)

    CONGRATULATIONS--Tyler Meckley, recipient of one of the three York County League scholarships in the amount of $500.

    CONGRATULATIONS--Jeff Miller, 27 years with program and 350 + wins.

    GOOD LUCK to those playing fall baseball.


    2008 RECAP
    Final League Record 9-8, Tied 7th place, Final Overall Record 10-11-1.
    Hanover Post #14 received the 9th Seed in the York County Playoff Tournament and participated in the Single Elimination 8th-9th Place Game and was defeated 3-2 in 8 innings by South Western York.



    ROBERT ROHRBAUGH-Double A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx
    Former Post # 14 baseball player Robert Rohrbaugh (2000-2002) assigned to Double A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx of the Southern League as a pitcher. FINAL 2009 STATISTICS-Record 3-3, 47.2 Innings Pitched, 19 Runs, 18 Earned Runs, 3.40 ERA, 42 Strikeouts and 12 Walks. SEASON RECAP-Robert completed a rehab assignment in Arizona, where he was sent on the disabled list April 29th, (started in Arizona six times since July 5) and was reinstated from the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx disabled list as of August 7 and completed the season in September with West Tennessee.
