Hanover Township Basketball Mission Statement
To create a supportive environment for the children in Hanover Township to learn the fundamentals of basketball and the importance of teamwork.
To foster a lifelong passion and respect for the game of basketball.
A Note from the President
These continue to be exciting times for basketball in Hanover Township! We are very excited about the depth and breadth of the basketball programs that we are able to continue to make available for your child this winter.
Once again, in cooperation with the Recreation Department, a group of volunteers has come together specifically to organize and structure the Hanover Basketball Program. These basketball programs include recreational leagues for grades 3-8, a travel program for grades 5-8, and even a clinic for grades K - 2. We expect another phenomenal turnout this year.
We now have a relationship with the Florham Park recreation program, with a joint league for 5th/6th grades. We developed a relationship with Morris Plains and participated in a trial summer basketball program.
The phenomenal turnout, constant change and improvements, and high quality of the basketball programs in Hanover Township are due to the great spirit of volunteerism in Hanover Township. Peruse the Contact Info list for the Basketball Program officers and you may recognize names of individuals who are or have been very active in the basketball program (and other programs) in our community. Take a look at the instructors running the basketball clinics and coaches coaching teams and you will also see many individuals who have consistently volunteered their time and talent for programs for our kids.
The growth and continued success of the Hanover Basketball Program is dependent on the continued support of volunteers. We are still in need of volunteers to assist behind the scenes. Basketball experience is not necessarily needed. Please refer to the Contact Info section of the website to see what positions are available and how your talents can contribute to the Hanover Basketball Program.
We hope you and your child(ren) enjoy the season!
