NEW FOR 2017

Beginning in Spring 2017, Harrison Township Little League will be implementing an annual $20.00 per family work bond fee.  This fee will go towards annual maintenance items, as well as long term capital improvement plans needed to keep our fields in a safe and playable condition for our kids.

Families will have the ability to recoup this $20 fee in the following ways:

- Volunteer to help out on Field Day, which is typically held in mid-March;

- Volunteer to help out on Opening Day, which is on April 8 this year; OR

- Volunteer to be a team's Manager or Assistant Coach this spring. With this option, you will be required to submit a 2017 Little League Volunteer Application Form (as all HTLL Managers and Coaches are). See article below for more details.

LITTLE LEAGUE BAT INFORMATION

Little League® International has assembled an online resource page dedicated to baseball bat information, that includes the latest bat information, current Little League Baseball rules and regulations governing bats, definition of terms, the moratorium on the use of composite bats, and a series of frequently asked questions, with answers and licensed bat lists.

LITTLE LEAGUE BAT INFORMATION PAGE

Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON MANAGING OR COACHING A TEAM THIS SEASON

Per Little League rules and as a condition of service to the league, all managers, coaches and Board of Directors members must annually complete and submit an official “Little League Volunteer Application” to the local league. Annual background screenings must be completed prior to the applicant assuming his/her duties for the current season. Refusal to annually submit a fully completed “Little League Volunteer Application” must result in the immediate removal of the volunteer from the local league.

This Little League International regulation has been in place since 2004, and includes the stipulation that no league shall permit any person to participate in a league in any manner whose background check reveals a conviction or guilty plea for a crime against a minor.

If you are interested in Managing or Coaching this season you must complete the 2017 Little League Volunteer Application, which can be found through the link below as well as on the "Handouts" page of this website. You must do this even if you completed a similar form last year. Little League rules state that background checks are conducted each year.
All signed Volunteer forms should be mailed to:
