Uniform payments for all teams is due no later than Thursday, March 26th. Uniforms cannot be ordered without payment. Uniforms have to be ordered no later than Friday, March 27th to be ready by opening day.

Please use caution when entering and exiting the park. As you will see there is a lot of construction on going.  New fences, gates, and a new front entrance are being installed.  The parking lot is set to be paved as soon as the weather permits.  These projects are running 4-6 weeks behind because of the weather.  All will be ready by opening day.

Opening day is April 18th. We will be having a craw fish bowl that day. Times to be announced. Practice will begin in Mid March at the latest once teams are set.

Hattiesburg will be the host of the 13 year old All-stars Mississippi Junior Dixie Boys State Tournament. It will begin on Saturday, July 18th. The 14 year old Mississippi Dixie Boys State Tournament will be held in Cleveland Ms. It will begin Saturday, July 11th.

Due to insurance regulations only players, coaches, and Dixie Officials are allowed on the playing field and/or the dugouts. Nobody is allowed to be on the field for practice or games that is not on a Hattiesburg Dixie Boys roster. The only time this is waived is in the event of an injury to a player, coach or umpire. This policy will be enforced this season. We have no choice due to insurance and safety reasons.

Hattiesburg 14's are the 2014 Dixie Boys World Series Champions. They are only the 3rd team to win both World Series titles. Hattiesburg had to defeat the host team, Bossier City, twice Weds to win the title. They pulled out a 10-3, 11 inning, 4 hour and 15 minute win in game one, that saw on field temps in the 110 degree range, a packed house and hostile crowd. The 2nd game was 4-4 going to the bottom of the 6th when we struck for 1 run on a Jo Jo Gray home run. The game and World Series ended with us throwing the tying run out at the plate on a single to center field.

Parking in front of the fence is a high risk. The City and the Optimist Club do not pay to replace broken windshields or windows. We have several broken each season. Park in these spots at your own risk.
