Congrats to Jimmy Johns for winning the City Tournament title Thursday. They defeated Play It Again Sports 5-3.

There are no All-star teams at this time.  We the coaches have not finalized the rosters. That will be done soon and the players who make the teams will be contacted by the coach shortly afterwards. In keeping with HDBB policy, a parent code of conduct contract must be signed for All-star play which will be done at the mandatory parent meeting.

There is a city ordinance that does not allow dogs in our park. Please do not bring your pet to the ball park. I have let this slide this year, but, the City has received several complaints. We will have to start asking you to remove the pet per the City of Hattiesburg.

Please return all foul balls to the concession stand. We are having far to many not being returned. Keeping game balls will cost everyone in the league more money in the long run. Thank you for your help.

Due to insurance regulations only players, coaches, and Dixie Officials are allowed on the playing field and/or the dugouts. Nobody is allowed to be on the field for practice or games that is not on a Hattiesburg Dixie Boys roster. The only time this is waived is in the event of an injury to a player, coach or umpire. This policy will be enforced this season. We have no choice due to insurance and safety reasons.

Parking in front of the fence is a high risk. The City and the Optimist Club do not pay to replace broken windshields or windows. We have several broken each season. Park in these spots at your own risk.
