We would like to welcome our new board members for the 2012 Season! There are a lot of new faces this year, this is a great start to a fantastic 2012 season.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED

We still have positions open for coaching staff if you are interested in getting involved. Whether it's Cheer, Flag, or Tackle Football, please call 951-903-6638 to inquire. You will need to be live-scanned through our league, be interviewed, and be fully on board with Jurupa Steeler Philosophy and goals. If you are willing and able to work with others AND are not driven by personal glory give us a call!

The next board meeting is scheduled for May 24th at 6:30PM The Pizza Factory (Etiwanda/Limonite).


June 2012:

June 7th-28th: June practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Clay Park on Linares/Clay. Sign ups and money collection will take place during this time. All new players must turn a completed physical (signed and stamped by a medical professional excluding Chiropractic).

June 9th: Darrell Rideaux Mini-Camp is scheduled at Jurupa Valley High School from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

July 2012:

July 14th: Sign ups at Round Table Pizza (Limonite/Camino Real) from 11AM-2PM.

July 28th: Gear Distribution 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. All money for registration and raffle tickets must be paid in full before gear distribution. Sign ups and money collection will take place at this time.

July 30th: 1st day of Practice - 6 to 8 PM for Tackle and Cheer (7/31 for Flag 6-7:30 PM). Practices will be held Monday-Friday from 6 to 8 PM for the month of August at Vernola Family Park.

August 2012:

August 18th: Opening Day!!! Vernola Park TBA

August 22nd: Raffle ticket drawing will be announced during practice

August 25th: Weight certification TBA. This is Mandatory for all Tackle players.

September 2012:

September 4th: Practices will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Vernola Park from 6-8 PM.

September 8th: 1st Game of the season

Registration:

$200 Tackle/Cheer
$70 Flag





Coaching Skills & Rules Clinic

Tackle:

Upcoming June and July clinics TBA

Cheer:

June 23rd: Lyons Club - Grand Terrace, CA (lunch will be served). Cheer clinic begins at 12:30PM. You will need to bring 2 color copy's of your photo ID, coaches form, coaches app, and livescan sheet, 10 dollars for clinic, and your livescan money and your drivers license.

July clinic TBA - Redlands, CA

**Effective immediately** ALL volunteers must have a livescan performed in order to be on the field. Please contact Rick Crislip for the livescan form and information at (951) 675-1317 or rcrislip2@gmail.com if you plan to volunteer for the 2012 season.
