KSL 2009 Schedule
May 5, 2009
- Below you will find the Conference Alignments and Schedule Option that was voted on and passed by the KSL Officers and Representatives at the KSL General Meeting on May 5, 2009. Team schedules need to be determined and will be posted at a later date.
General Rules – For all schedules
• All scheduled games count in the standings.
• Any byes created by teams dropping out will be forfeit wins for the scheduled opponents.
• Three conferences (American, National, Freedom) will play for Championships.
• There will be 10 American conference teams in each option.
Conference Alignments-
American (10) - MA, NA, WS, WG, LP, BC, AW, WR, UD, OV
National (10) – PW, CS, SH, CB, RX, IH, NP, HV, WM, KP, (WR 2 90LB).
Freedom – UNKNOWN.
• The American and National conferences will play everyone in their conference once for a 9 game season.
• NOTE- if we have 11 National 90lb teams they will have their own schedule 10 games over 11 weeks with one bye week. Each team will play one game during the week to keep the season 9 weeks long.
• The Freedom conference will be made up of clubs that enter BOTH a second 65lb and 75lb team. The conference will have a maximum of 10 teams. If more than 10 teams ask to join the conference they will be admitted on as needed basis. This conference must remain at an even number if over 10 teams apply.
• 65jv, 75jv- clubs with both a 65jv and 75jv can keep them both in the jv conferences if they choose too. If clubs have a single jv (65lb or 75lb) or an odd number of jv teams (example 1 65jv, 2 75jv) the extra jv teams can remain in the jv conferences. When looking at the recent history of both jv conferences we may not have enough clubs to fill a 65 jv conference, but should have enough to fill a 75 jv conference.
• The top four teams in the American and National conferences make the playoffs.
• The Freedom conference playoffs and championships will be determined by how many teams are in the conference.
• The Freedom conference home and away schedule cannot be made until the total number of teams have been decided. This may take until the end of August or early September.
