-Please Welcome our New Diocesan Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Director

As you may know, Mr. Jacob Slagle has served as the Diocesan Director of CYO Basketball since 2013.  His leadership, integrity and deep understanding of sports management and basketball have been and are a tremendous gift to the CYO Basketball program.  Jake informed our office in the late spring of his plans to continue his pursuit of academic credentials in the field of education beginning this fall and that this would affect his time availability with us.

With this message, I am happy to inform you that Mr. Rick Moran will begin his service to the diocese within CYO Basketball.  Rick comes to us with a degree in Sport Management and Business Economics as well as vast experience managing sports arenas, organizing leagues, managing tournaments, and training coaches.  The CYO Search Committee found him to be an enthusiastic and gifted sport management professional and look forward to all that he will accomplish within the CYO Basketball Program.

I have asked Jacob Slagle to stay on for a transition period.  I am confident that these two dynamic Catholic men will continue to build on the long and strong history of the CYO Basketball program within the Diocese of Harrisburg.
