Litchfield Park Little League (LPLL)

 

LPLL is a non-profit Little League Baseball and Softball organization that is ran completely by volunteers.  We offer division for players that are turning 4 - 14 before September 1 of the current season.   We serve the commumities of Litchfield Park, Verrado, Waddell, El Mirage, and Surprise South of Bell Road. (The division descriptions are listed below.)  We currently run two separate seasons: 

·         Spring Season

o   Registration Starts in September and ends in early January. 

o   Practices begin in February.

o   Opening Day is in March.

o   Final Games will be played before Memorial Day weekend.

o   Spring Season offers all divisions of play.

§  T-Ball:  4-6 year old’s new to the game.

§  Coach Pitch:  5-7 year old’s still developing but are ready for something more than T-Ball

§  Rookie (Hybrid) Baseball:  7 – 9 year old’s, our first level of Kid pitch.  However it is a hybrid Kid/Coach Pitch Division

§  A & AA Baseball:  8 – 10 year old players, our first level of kid pitch that no longer has coach pitch involved.

§  AAA Baseball:  9 – 11 year old players, competitive league of players not quite ready for Majors.

§  Majors Baseball:  10 – 12 year old players, the best of the best, most competitive division of Little League Baseball.  These are the age groups you see on ESPN every summer.

§  Mini’s Softball: First Level of Girls Softball 7 -9 year old players, similar to the baseballs A league with a combination of kid/coach pitch.

§  Minors Softball:  9 – 11 year old players, competitive league of players not quite ready for Majors.

§  Majors Softball:  10 – 12 year old players, the best of the best, most competitive division of Little League Baseball.  These are the age groups you see on ESPN every summer. 

§  Challenger League:  4 – 22 (if still enrolled in school), individuals with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate.  Teams practice one a week and play one game on Saturday mornings, with Buddies from our local community. 

o   Games and Practices will be mostly weekday evenings.

§  However depending on the size of the league a few Saturdays could be used. 

·         Fall Season

o   Registration begins in May and ends in late July

o   Practices begin in late mid to late August

o   Games usually begin after Labor Day and finish up around Halloween.

o   More Instructional, it allows players a chance to play more softball/baseball.

o   Limited Divisions Offered:

§  T-Ball:  4-6 year old players new to the game (Verrrado Only)

§  Coach Pitch:  5-7 year old players still developing but are ready for something more than T-Ball (Verrado Only)

§  Rookie (Hybrid) Baseball:  7 – 9 year olds, our first level of Kid pitch.  However it is a hybrid Kid/Coach Pitch Division

§  Player Pitch Baseball – 9-12 year old players ready for player pitch.

o   Games and Practices will be mostly weekday evenings.

§  However depending on the size of the league a few Saturdays could be used. 

Because we are a Little League organization players will need to either go to a school inside our boundaries or live inside our boundaries.
