Wednsday's Women's League

Unfortunately due to the multiple rain out weeks the remaining 2 games on the Wednesday night women's league will not be pushed back another week, and therefore be cancelled.  The 6 teams which still had 2 games remaining will receive a credit to their account or can request a refund through the Recreation Center by contacting Travis @ 425-670-5517.  The final standings and league winner will be reflected off a 10 game season.  We apologize for the inconvenience & want to thank all the teams for participating.  If there are any questions, you can contact Travis Hutchins the League Coordinator.  Thank You.

2014 Rule Changes/Additions
1.)  Effective January 1st, 2014 - All bats used in league play must have the new USSSA permanent stamp (below) on its taper OR be a wood bat.

2.)  75 SECOND RULE:  When the third out is made each team will have 75 seconds to take their positions respectively.  If there is no batter in the box and the defensive team is set, then the umpire will signal to play ball, and a strike will be called.  The umpire will then signal to play ball again, give 10 seconds, and then announce strike 2.  This will continue until either a batter takes a position in the box, or there are 3 outs recorded.  If the situation is reversed and a batter is in the box with no team ready to pitch, then balls will be recorded in the same manner.

RESULT:  The team at bat will be awarded an out prior to their first batter and the team in the field will begin their next “at bat” with one out.  EXCEPTION:  If the next batter in the order needs extra time, in the umpire’s opinion, to remove or replace gear (pitcher or catcher and their extra defensive equipment), then additional time will be allowed.

 3.)  REVISED FEBRUARY 26TH, 2014

THE CITY OF LYNNWOOD SOFTBALL LEAGUE WILL NOT BE ADOPTING USSSA’S NEW FOUL BALL RULE.  THE PREVIOUS 3-2 COUNT WILL BE IN USE.  THE BATTER WILL BE CALLED OUT ON THE 2nd FOUL BALL AFTER ALREADY HAVING ONE STRIKE.
